ALERT: Science Diet cat food test positive for toxins?

Science Diet Light Dry Cat Food - Cyanuric Acid and Acetaminophen

Science Diet Sensitive Stomach Dry Cat Food - Acetaminophen

for details, see www.pet food tracker and www.itchmo

acetaminophen (Tylanol) is VERY deadly to cats

Update:

I know a lot of people here still feed their kitties Science Diet. I can no longer trust any cat food 100%. My cats are now transitioning to raw and home prepared diet. We are 75% there. In the meantime, I sure hope Felidae, Solid Gold and 9-Lives stay "clean."

Update 2:

mjc:

If I were you, I'd take kitty off ANY Science Diet. Check for "safe" foods in Pet Food Tracker. Through this whole horrible business, I kept cats safe by going by a simple mantra: "No ffods made by Menu; No foods with wheat, corn or rice glutens; No foods that has some other variety on recall; Check the Pet Food Tracker and Itchmo daily; plus check the web sites of the manufacturers of the commercial petfood I STILL have here (even though I am giving these only as "bribe" foods to get cats to eat their home prepared meals).

Is Science Diet Regular safe? This stuff makes me so angry My 15 year old cat died as a result of the cat food fiasco... I have a new cat and thought Science Diet was the safe thing to do. :-(

likely due to a human being trying to cash in on the pet food recall: Have you ANY idea how much tylenol you'd have to dump into a vat of pet food to make it detectable??? A helluva lot more than a factory worker would have in his/her pocket, that's for sure. And it is NOT something that could have "mistakenly" been added to the food either.

I heard about this on Pet connection.com the other day. There are other cat foods that have been affected by this. They don't know what food have been affected because the FDA will not name the company or the food yet.
