can a doctor help with a jammed finger?

i think i may have "jammed" my finger somehow...its at the very top joint where it connects to the hand. it isnt swollen or anything, but it hurts a LOT and if i dont continue to pop it, it hurts even more. i was thinking about seeing a doctor, but im not sure if there is much a doctor can do...

do you think its worth going to the doctor for? do you think it will heal on its own? do you have any other advice that may help me?

thank yoouuu =)

An orthopedic doctor is who you need to see for this problem. Yes, they can help stabilize the finger so it stops jamming. You definitely need to see a doctor.
