Looking for a really good kitty litter!?

A while ago I bought a litter that completely dried everything out. It was amazing! Unfortunately, I threw the box away thinking I would remember, but I don't! I probably bought it at Petsmart or Petco, does anyone have any reccomendations?

to my knowledge, there are only two clumping litters which are safe and natural. they do not contain silica or any other adhesives which are unhealthy for both you and your cat. the dust that is generated when you change the box and also when your cat digs in the litterbox is called silica dust which coats the lungs (yours and your cat's) and is not absorbed out of the lung tissue, into the body and eliminated.

The World's Best Cat Litter is a clumping, scoopable litter which is completely natural. it is made of whole kernel corn, ground up and is flushable. there is no dangerous dust which you and your cat will breathe. The other safe and natural brand is called Swheat Scoop and it is similiar but made of wheat.

if you have never used either of these brands before, you MUST introduce it half and half at first. then 3/4 of the new litter to 1/4 old litter until the third box change where your cat will be familiar with this new litter.

if you dont do it gradually, and your cat is eating dry cat food, he will not understand this new litter.....dry food is made mostly of corn and since the litter is corn, it will smell like food to him and he will not want to eliminate anywhere near what smells like his food. litter changes should always be made in steps but especially with these.

your cat will be healthier, you will love the litter and the convenience of being able to flush it. there is little to no tracking with these products.

    good luck

My cats and I prefer Tidy Cat scoop-able litter. It clumps well and keeps the odor down if cleaned daily. Some of the others have a strong deodorizing smell and everyone who enters the house knows that you're attempting to cover up the kitty litter smell.

I have a 3yr old cat and we use the Fresh Step, and just to make sure that you can't smell the litter, (I hate walking into a house and smelling the stench of cat litter), we buy it for multi cats. It works really good and you can't smell a trace of it when you walk into the house! I hope I helped and just to tell you, the cheapest place to get it is at your local grocery store, same product, cheaper price!

Fresh step works the best i have two cats and the litter clumps up everything in the litter box....and you can hardly smell either...so i'd say get that.

In my experience, Scoop Away (it's in a purple box) clumps HARD. I love that stuff because I have a cat who always pees in the same spot in the corner, and the clumps don't break up so it lets me get all the dirty litter out. When you pour it into the box, it's pretty dusty, though.

However (and I know you didn't ask this) the best smelling is Fresh Step, it actually smells good(!) so it's hard for me to choose sometimes.

Fresh Step is a really good brand. Ever Clean is also a good brand. You can get both of these at PetsMart and PetCo.

Fresh Step (with activated Charcoal)... you can't even tell there's a litter box in the house. It's probably a little more dusty than I'd prefer, but for odor ... it's fantastic!

I have bought litter at Pet Co and loved it. I don't remember he brand name but you could buy it several ways. There is a plastic tub you can buy and then refill it after it is empty. Look for that to get the name, it comes in a box(smaller) I think it is there brand!

I have 3 cats and have tried all kinds but the best one i have found is tidy cat and it;s not the clumpy kind,It doesn;t have a smell when the cats use it and if you clean it you won;t even be able to tell there are cats around,It comes in 10pounds and 20pounds and it is really reasonable..try it you;ll like it and so will kitty cat,., lol

specific, actual. And it sounds like it as nicely, once you're munching on it... no longer that i've got ever munched on kitty muddle formerly, yet yeah. even though it is superb whilst it is blended up with yogurt. Grape Nuts, this is.
