well i have about 25 cats so i know but my cats get little colds and there eyes run and i call the vet but they say that unless there is pus or some kind of other liquid coming out then hes fine. right now my 7 week old kitten has a cold and his nose runs and his eyes are runny its nasty but its so cute to know that cats can have colds. you might wanna take him to a vet just in case.

Just wet? Sometimes cats' eyes leak tears or even reddish tinted tears (looks almost like blood). Some cats just have blocked tear ducts. Now if there's yellow/green stuff coming out, it sounds like that would be an eye infection of some sorts due to an upper respiratory infection.

Call the vet and ask. Your cat might need antibiotics.

my experience as a cat owner for all my life is i find that fluids from the eyes are quite common. my cats and kittens tend to tear and then in time if i do not clean their eyes it begins to build up near the caruncula (or the inner corner of the eye). I usually just use a wash cloth and warm water to clean that. So it's normal, however, that doesnt mean it's something to be overlooked because all cats are different. Just call your local vet or animal shelter and if he has any other symptoms be sure to let them know, and ask for any suggestions, they should let you know free of charge. ps. Sorry i'm not a vet, i just though i'd let you know..Good Luck!

I have a 2 year old Persian Cat and since I had her, she always has watery eyes, and its mostly red tears. I have to clean her eyes almost everyday!

I use eye drops once a week and she gets little better. I took her to the vet and they just suggested the regular eye drops as well.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

For a professional opinion you best pay the money and visit a professional. Eye problems can be almost anything, from allergies to infections to corneal ulcers. And they're definitely something you don't want to mess around with. Get him into the vet ASAP.

First i could sparkling the icky stuff from round her eye with a heat wash textile. it may desire to be hypersensitive reactions, she could have an eye fixed an infection, she could have only scratched it or gotten some thing in it. i could watch it very heavily and if it does not get greater proper in an afternoon or 2 take her to the vet. i'm hoping this tips is powerful. good success!

he could have the pink eye it causes a strange water discharge. what this means is that he needs love and he aint eating right. what type of food do you give him? well go to petco and get 'nutro natrual choice complete care'. it cures so many things and it regulates its body. try making him/her purr every day....set yourself a goal making him/her purr for a certain amount of time.

is your cat a persian because most persians tear alot because of their breed ,i know because i have a persian and i had the same problem ,if you don't have a persian then his eyes are probably dry or he could have an infection, you should always clear cats eyes so they don't get an infection

He probably has conjunctivitis. You need to take him to the vet.
