I'm 100% behind a womans ability to make medical choices herself. BUT if and I do mean a BIG IF we some how decided that women can not make their own choices when it comes to reproduction I would only agree to it under the following terms:

The government will recognize the fetus as a living member of society. They will become citizens also granting the status of a person eligible for a social security card and allowing the parents of said person to become equally eligible for any and all claims given to parents of dependents who have been born

A national Pro-life list shall be rendered. That list will henceforth be responsible for the housing, health, emotional, and educational care of all unwanted children ( thousands will end up in state run facilities. Just as Pro-lifers balk and paying for abortion I balk at being forced to pay for thousands of children who would not have been born if women were able to make a choice on their own and NO you pro lifers you don’t get a pass you want to abolish it YOU pay for it) The individuals who are on that list will be the sole economic support for children who land in state run facilities. If for any reason the monies collected from said list do not maintain the masses of children born the abortion act will become retroactive once again allowing women to again maintain their right to decide for themselves what is and isn’t best...and the topic will never become a national debate EVER again.

Abortion is an issue for the pregnant woman only. It is not the governments business, nor the public, nor the church, spouse, friend, police or anyone else. A woman has control over her own body - no one owns her body but her.

Sex is here to stay. Should one be careful and use birth control? Sure. But, the fact is, they don't. When a pregnancy occurs, then it is her decision to give birth or not. It isn't fair but that's the way it is. If she could hand the pregnancy to the male who also didn't use birth control - and let him carry the child and give birth, then abortion would not be necessary.....or would it?

Many people hop all over a woman who gets pregnant and looks to abortion. These self-righteous people think they have the right to moralize, feel superior and feel like they are somehow entitled to tell her what she must do. Well, they are wrong.

If only there was as much stigma upon the lazy, selfish male who impregnated her, maybe men and boys would be a little more responsible.

The problem is the Supreme Court using bad law to create rights where they do not exist. That was far more dangerous to America than the abortion issue.

The answer is to repeal Roe v Wade and return the abortion issue to the States where it originally was and where such issues belong. Let each State decide if, how and when abortion will be permitted.

The practice of permitting 9 people in black robes who are not even elected by the people decree rights where none exist and overriding the sovereignty of the many States is tyranny. It is intolerable and has created a dangerous precedent.

Roe v. Wade pretty much nailed the right choice. The first three months are elective....the second three months are for serious health reasons and the final trimester is reserved for acute, immediate and deadly pregnancies gone wrong. Take the Jesus freak right out the equation and there wouldn't be real problem for anyone with any sense. Certainly we should intense sex education in schools...preventing pregnancy is far better than dealing with it. Believe me, if abortion became illegal it would be reinstated within a year or two because it's an essential element in women's health.

but the main reason I'm answering is the question about how abortion is done... The utrasound abortion video I saw the child was trying to get away from the suction and it was kicking violently and squiring and flipping and stuff..

#1 All abortions should be illegal. Here's my case:

If a farmer puts a litter of kittens or puppies in a sack and drowns them, most people would be disgusted with that behavior. If we as a society are going to apply the same logic to other areas of life as we do to abortion, then should we also shoot dogs taken to humane societies because of the wasted tax money associated with caring for them? Can't I do what I want with my own property?

This kind of behavior is a disease that stems from Nazi like prioritization. How is this behavior different than what you find in Elie Wiesel's Night? As a society we should move back toward encouraging people to take responsibility for their own actions. If you decide to have sex, you know that is what produces children. And there the choice lies.

**I would not rule out legal liability for males involved in pregnancy. Our laws impose moral and ethical requirements on people. That is what the rule of law is, limiting people for the best interests of society.
