The best ribs I have ever made have an odd recipe- and everytime I post it, I get comments that the saran wrap would melt in the oven- it doesn't- the aluminum foil prevents it from melting, what it does is create an airtight seal to "steam" the ribs in the oven without losing any flavor like you do when you boil them:

cut ribs into manageble pieces (3-5 ribs) use a dry rub, or a combo of salt, pepper, seasoning salt, garlic- and rub all over the ribs, Wrap in saran wrap (yep saran wrap) very tightly a couple of layers, so no air can escape. Then wrap in foil, the same way. Preheat your oven to 350 and bake for 2 hours. ( yep- leave the wrappings on) take out and cool enough to handle, cut off all wrappings- they should be nice and steamed and tender. Now grill the ribs for 5 minutes on each side, brush with your favorite sauce, and grill for a minute or two more. These are perfect!!!

We just made bbq spareribs last night. The trick is to cook them long and slow on the grill. I rubbed them with garlic powder, salt, pepper, grill seasoning. Put them on the grill, make sure its at a low temp. Cook for about 2 hours. I then poured bbq sauce all over the top. They were very tasty and tender. Enjoy!

Well to cook good pork or any meat you must cook low and slow and a good rub to finish up the last half hour of cooking. or a good wet base marinade. Using wood to smoke u must soak the wood first. Temp should be around 225-250. I make a rub from 25 % brown sugar and spices I salt to taste chili powder, garlic powder, touch of cinnimon, red chocolate coco powder, black pepper. Experiment with your rub and what you like. But key is low temp and long wait do not rush it and cook over high heat it will turn out tough

Country Spare Ribs with Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

    Two 6-rib country spare ribs

    3 bottles Bass Pale Ale

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a wire rack in the bottom of a large square roasting pan. Pour beer into roasting pan, lay ribs on rack, and cover pan tightly with foil. Cook in the oven for 2 hours.

Preheat grill. Cook ribs on grill until lightly charred. Cut ribs into two-rib pieces, slather with sauce and continue to cook until sauce is heated through.

Note: Ribs can be steamed on the grill. Lay out a large piece of foil, place ribs in foil, fold up sides of foil, pour in beer, tightly close foil, place rib packet on grill and grill/steam for 2 hours.

    1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 cup packed dark brown sugar

3/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste

In a large sauce pan over medium heat, combine the onion, garlic, and whiskey. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until onion is translucent. Mix in the ground black pepper, salt. ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and hot pepper sauce.
