I injured my knee 2 months ago. No one could figure out what was wrong. Finally they discovered a?
hematoma under my patella. According to my surgeon, removing it is not an option, as it will just come back. He wants to wait for my body to absorb it. Does anyone know how long this takes? My patella looks like a tennis ball instead of a knee cap. It's been 2 months already. How much longer will it take? Anyone know for sure, or have an educated guess?
Thanks

this could take up to four months more. You just have to be patient it will resolve itself. I've had this happen to me before.

Hi Linda.I'm sorry to hear of your injury.I don't know if this helps or not but my son hurt his shin a couple of years ago ,eventhough its not in the same area where your injury occured, he had a very large bruise that was the size of a baseball. It was painful and took a good 12 months for his body to heal it.I'm not a doctor so if you're still concerned with it, maybe you should get a second opinion.I hope I've helped you at all.Get well soon!!!
