Prozac stopped working for me after a few years?

I've been miserable. I thought it was cuz they switched generic brands; then I had some legit crap in my life;

Now I've realized the medicine just isnt working for me anymore. We've upped the dosage but it made no difference. I stopped seeing the therapist 3 years ago when the medicine started working. Now my internist prescribes for me.... what should I do?

    this particular med did the same thing for me. It worked for a year or so, but then we kept having to increase it until it just wasnt increasable any more, and still I had "bleed through"s. I started over again with a different med, and that really made a difference. I would suggest you go back to the doctor asap, let them know youve basically become amune to its affects, and that you want to try something different. Make sure its from a different "class" of drugs. If not, the next one will do the same thing as Prozac did. I switched to Zoloft at first, and it did the same way. So my doctor put me on a different "class" of medicine, and it has kept working. Good luck!
