Why nobody says nothing about the Latino miners trapped underground?
Why don't people aprecciate what this people do? they are working in US risking their lives and people only see the bad side , but this country is what it is thanks to these hard workers who risk their lives , so others can have a better life.
My respects for these people who risk their lives, so many of us can have a better life .

"Why nobody says nothing?" Oh come on! You can do better than that!!
And people are talking about the Hispanic miners. It's the mining company that refuses to release the names of the trapped miners - family memebers had to come forward with names and ages.
Now go learn English.

Most hope and pray that all miners are found safe and sound, but being you have a story about illegals putting 3 students up against a wall a shooting them, you have competing interest.
Few doubt that some illegals do hard and dangerous work, but so do many more Americans, but those here illegally are still here illegally and that does not negate their status.
For me it comes down to who have the right to set the immigration policy of our country, the citizens of this country who are the stockholders, or the illegals no matter how hard working in dangerous jobs are not, and no matter how much they want to provide for their families

First not all of the miners are Latino. Second as far as I know nobody has called off the search. Mining is dangerous and this form of mining is considered very dangerous. Do I hope they all are found alive and well. Yes I Do. If any are found to be illegal then I also hope that they are returned to their country. This doesn't change my mind on illegal immigration. It just shows that as long as an employer can hire illegals then they will not be responsible for safe working conditions for the worker.

The miners in Utah have been covered by the national news nightly- there has been an update done by the Associated Press daily about those miners.
What the heck are you talking about?
Perhaps those miners and their families have more than the color of their skin to be proud of- I know I do.

Bla bla bla, it's nothing more than 100 years of hard working Americans haven't been doing all along. If they are trapped it's probably due to something they didn't do right like brace the roof of the mine. Don't give me that BS, I live in West Virginia (unwillingly) and we have mine mishaps all the time.

Come on! The coverage is 14/7.

They are risking their lives for a paycheck - not for me. And it is risky because the corporations make it so. Why can't you understand that illegals are used for cheap labor and so safety and environmental standards can be bypassed? They are being used as scabs.

im totally with you. i would never want to work in a mine or field and yardwork sucks. just as long as they pay taxes like everyone else it doesnt bother me that they're here.

Absolutely right. It is almost as if the latinos are subhuman not deserving the same attention or credit. Another case in point the latino driver who was on the Mineapolis bridge that collapsed: instead running to safely after leaving his car, he went to the school bus to help the kids get out of the bus emergency doors. Names like Mendez, Gonzales are splashed on TV screens if they are associated with a crime, but not when there is a hero. Thanks,
