What's the best Series 7 book to study from?

I agree with your dad. Ive done both my Series 7 and my Series 3. I wouldnt study from 1 book. I would get some online study, some book study. I personally like futures better then stocks so I went that way. You might want to look at that as well. Its a much easier test. But either way its great to have them both. If you do one I would suggest doing the other. I went in for an interview and they said you have your 7, 3, Insurance (health, life) etc. They said what dont you have? I said well maybe I start as a stock, if they want to do a rollover, or move into some futures. I want to say I have that license even if its not my job, I want to know everything. It doesnt hurt to have them all. Easier to knock them out all at once. I did my 7, studdied my 3 for 3 days took that, then my insurance a week later.

I used Dearborn and I liked it best but that was only 80% of my study, its good to read it from another view point as well. I used pass on my insurance.

Good luck on your studies and testing. I dont envy your series 7. That's one long test.

Securities Training Corporation Series 7 Study Guide .... used by all the major wall street investment banks. I took it and passed it on my first try (its not a very hard test if you are really into finance....series 63 is even easier)
