what is stool softener ? i saw it on my prenatal vitamin tabs?

my doctor recommemded me a vitamin pill with dha.it also contains stool softener wat is this stool softener means?

    It makes your poop softer and therefore easier to pass. Trust me, it's a blessing. Take it everyday, even after delivery, it'll make that first BM after delivery much easier! Prenatals generally have a very high amount of Iron, which can cause your movements to be hard and difficult to pass, the stool softener will help with that.

    When you take Iron is very hard to go to the bathroom, the stool softener will help you use the toilet without problems. This is something that they give to every pregnant woman and, to everyone that takes iron.

    Prenatal vitamins usually contain iron, which can make you constipated. Stool softener does exactly what it says, counteracting the iron's effects.

    Make your defecating extraction softer or maybe even "creamy." Fiber supplements are also good to take.
