What is Self-Illuminating Wisdom for you?

It is said that all of the knowledge attained through the body of the now realized Enlightened self, can then be expressed through the body.

All bodily movements

Fashioned spontaneously from enlightened mind

Pure in essence,

Become sacred gestures.

Whatever is spoken is sacred speech....

Activities that are graceful, heroic, terrifying,

Compassionate, furious, and peaceful ~

And passion, anger, pride, greed, envy ~

All these things without exception

Are the perfected forms

Of pure, self~illuminating wisdom...........

A being of pure mind can engage in any activity, and that activity will be pure.

Is it possible for you to recognize your own purity, act from within it?

How do you feel within this?

All of us catch fleeting images of our own purity as it expresses itself through acts and words of compassion and wisdom. Sometimes we're surprised and wonder,"From where did that arise? Those weren't my words." Other times it's quite natural and we know we're tuned in.

Our various bodies are mere means for the expression of divinity. Through our actions, our words, our grace, our touch, our emotional reactions the inner glory becomes unveiled.

The wisdom that illuminates us shines forth as we become aware of it through our expressions of such. Our words are used only for constructive purposes, our actions only to help, our thoughts filter down through our bodies and make themselves known through the dancing give and take in every relationship that happens along.

The paradox of realizing purity is that as we realize it we draw it into us while simultaneously radiating it outward. We dissolve into its essence and shine it forth unto all others.

One of our tasks as humans is to enliven the recognition of purity and divinity in every person we meet. We see them on a soul level and gaze upon the divine spark within and gently entice it to grow, to show itself, to glow and blaze forth in the illumination of the realization of oneness embraced ever in love.

Within, without, purity reigns and feels more refreshing than a spring rain, a multi-hued sunset, a child's gentle touch, the gaze of the elderly. It is life striving to let itself be known as it is.

    This is a Sufi perspective:

Self-Illuminating Wisdom has also been called False Wisdom.

    Arrogance can be deceiving.

Illusion is as vast as the ocean.

The seven states or processes of consciousness are:

    1. Sensory Feeling, Perception

    2. Sensory Awareness, Cognition

    3. Lower Mind, Intellect

    4. Practical Understanding, Knowledge

    5. Conscience within Reason, Wisdom

    6. Intuitive Spiritual Wisdom in association with purity of heart, Divine Wisdom

    7. Divine Intelligence, Divine Luminous Wisdom

Is it possible for you to recognize your own purity, and act from within it? This is a question that one must ask the ego!

In a state of surrender, one does not recognize ones own purity. One simply acts in a state of submission.

I am yet in preschool......I am awaiting Kindergarten......

That's how I feel within this!

Source(s): Al-hamdu lillah............. In sha' Allah........ Salaams........ so says a small insignificant Sufi student.........

For me,simply letting go of self brings self illumination. A Oneness with the Universe is achieved, for me, by self awareness through self-examination, relating the findings of this self-examination to another and meditating on the Truths found. Ergo, a Separate Reality, my part of the One. I become transformed to my internal/external light. A persistent exertion is necessary for continued growth. Spiritual growth is not one of keeping a constant (complacency), It, as the Universe, is always growing, learning and redefining Itself. When Enlightenment is reached, there are NO impure thoughts and deeds. It is a non-existent question. My thoughts only.

I am touched by this because of my studies of the higher order of martial arts, specifically relating to the sacredness of the symbols created in the process of practicing kata. While working form, our hands stroke, massage, manipulate, caress, reshape, and restructure our aura, which is our thoughts and feelings. This to me would be Self-illuminating wisdom, for while altering the structure of my energy field I am attuning myself to the energies of the highest vibrations, to symbols so sacred they have become icons for the most prevalent religious movements known to humankind. I create my own purity through the simple act of movement.

Our daily lives are a kata. Each day we are dancing a motionless dance created through movement. Our awareness of what exactly we have created is what Consciousness is all about. All creation is Perfection, for all creation serves a purpose. A purpose served is Perfection.

It is about finding balance in imbalance. That is how we remain perfect, pure, in our own imperfections.

    Namaste.

It always sounds like otherworldly hocus pocus but it is simply a psychological state of awareness of the now.

It is best described as a perfection of disinterest, a detached state of 'awareness of being' fully present - in the absence of any residual emotional or physical feelings/responses from ego patterns.

I think we need to return to our original selves, our innocence, which I believe is equivalent to purity.

I have recently begun a daily yoga practice, and even though I have practiced on and off for years, the daily practice has opened up my spiritual eyes. I have released some pent up old garbage that my thoughts stored in my body. I am gradually able to see my body and its movements as sacred for the first time in my life.

...and to think..all I wanted was a little exercise! :)

What innerpeacemom has discovered is the answer to all the suffering in the world/minds.

To 'touch' the naturalness of oneself (and stretching/yoga is a great way) brings one 'home'.

We have learned, as adults, to live a cerebral kind of existence...this is shattering to the naturalness of being.

Yes...you got it in a nutshell.

    Language of the body...

    Seven Sacraments...

    Juggling symbols...

Make a sideways figure 8 with your hands and shift...

    Practice Kata...

It is the flesh that is trying to wake up.

Wake up the body and the ego follows.

This is an important insight, teacher.

    The bridges are under construction...

The *light* body of transcendental wisdom can and seems to be able to express its self through the physical body. The light body's spoken word transcends thought and words spoken, it is light in motion.
