Why is the Former Democrat Presidential Candidate John Kerry, making NO FUSS about?
The Al-Quaeda, Talaban Bombers KILLING babys, children, women, when he was so adament on this subject, acusing the U.S. Troups of this in Viet Nam??? Such claims, he used to win the elections, as Senator, from Massachutuets.(sp?)
In his "way of thinking" now, is the act of killing innocents- non combatants o.k.???
Who, where, how, and when did someone-something change his mind??
At least Hillary is sticking by her guns and still belittles, derides, our military the same as she did, while at college / university, in England !!!
Is John Kerry afraid that he might imbarress the present Democrat Candidates???

Do you not know you can not attack democrats. They can attack Republicans though, so I think you better apologize!!!
It is so interesting to go back and read his statements to the Congress back then and relate it to the hate America crowd of today that the Moveon.org ad clearly showed. Do you think any of the mainstream dems will ever fully attack those ads or give money back to the hate group of all hate groups.

While there are some incidents of cruelty beyond the call of duty in this Iraq War, it is nothing like it was in Viet Nam. The Iraq War has not as yet lasted ten years, killed 50 to 60,000 American troops and at least a million Vietnamese. There was a great wave of anger among the young people opposing the Viet Nam War and the opinions of the older people slowly changed to agree with them.
John Kerry was heroic to speak out against the atrocities of the Viet Nam War. We have had incidents of the same kind of bravery recently, with the young soldier who rebelled at participating in the torture at Abu Ghraib, as one example. It takes bravery to speak up against a government policy, but then...as now...we were subjected to lies and misinformation.
John Kerry volunteered two times for that war and fought it well. Then, when he returned home, he had the courage to defy the leaders and help bring the war to an end.
Kerry spoke his opinion when he ran for president. Recently, he has not given his opinion publicly, leaving the speeches to the candidates. But, believe me, he is not in favor of this war and his vote will go along with his fellow Democrats.
Somehow, you seem to think that Al Queda and the Taliban kill babies, but our bombs do not. Think again!

Kerry's not running for president this time, so his opinions on foreign affairs don't get much press.
This is what he said recently about Afghanistan (that's where the Taliban and the al Qaida who attacked the US on 9-11 are).
“Afghanistan must not become the forgotten war,” said Kerry. “Our intelligence agencies recently estimated that Al Qaeda is regenerating its ability to attack the U.S. homeland from the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The Administration would have a much better chance of improving the situation in Afghanistan if they created an experienced, bipartisan Afghanistan Study Group to come up with comprehensive answers, just as the Iraq Study Group did.”
“We’d have a much better chance of improving the situation in Afghanistan if the administration were willing to make this the top priority it should be,” Kerry said today."

Try learning something. First of all, Hillary Rodham was a Goldwater Republican while in college.
Then, it's Massachusetts.
Finally, has Kerry ever said anything nice about the Taliban (not Talaban)? Of course not. He was in favor of the US invasion of Afghanistan to oust the Taliban. He has been critical of Bush for forgetting about fighting the Taliban.
He criticized US policy in Vietnam (not Viet Nam) because he is an American. America is run by Americans. We have a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Americans have the right and a duty to be critical of our government.

I think John Kerry has the crazy idea that we're better than the Taliban-that we shouldn't lower our standards to match theirs.
Hillary was a Goldwater Republican in college. She doesn't deride the military. But if neo cons keep repeating it....
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

Well let's see. We have troops in Afghanistan; they've been there for five years and some. In the first two years of that war we claimed we were beating back the Taliban.
Then it turned out we didn't really beat them back, but rather made some kind of deal with the tribal leaders. The tribal leaders at one point were given the task of getting Bin Laden for us. They didn't. We stopped pursuing Bin Laden... he seems to have strolled across the border our people were supposedly watching into Pakistan, a country that is supposedly our ally, where he has, apparently, been hiding ever since.
Meanwhile, back in Afghanistan, a country we are supposed to have liberated from the Taliban, the tribal leaders threw back in with the Taliban... and the poppy grows went ahead with impugnity to plant and sell rather openly the largest poppy harvests in the history of that country.
The country's leadership is again beholding to the Taliban, women and non-muslims are being treated badly, Moslem fanatics feel free to destroy ancient shrines of other religions... all in the country which was supposed to be the model for what we were about to do in Iraq.
Some of us have been paying attention.
Bush's middle east war is a massive and obvious hoax. Heroin and oil appear to be at the heart of it... appeasing the moslem fanatics is at the heart of it, preventing middle eastern countries from having real democracy seems to be at the heart of it.
You can go on about the US politicians you are conditioned like pavlov's puppies to hate, but the facts on the ground make the lies all too obvious.

i might wish that the Democrats have discovered their lesson from Kerry and Gore and run a candidate who certainly has a backbone. reasonable "liberals" like Clinton and conservative "liberals" like Lieberman, who somebody pronounced, don't have the huge attraction to win the White abode. Democrats might desire to bypass back to their roots - liberalism. Who might I vote for? somebody like Evan Bayh or Dennis Kucinich, actual liberals. Moderates will vote for John McCain, conservatives will probable %. somebody like Jeb Bush or Condoleezza Rice.

In my opinion, John Kerry will say whatever is the most politically expedient. He is a surfer on the wave of public opinion.
At least, that's the way I see it.

John Kerry isn't running for anything, so who cares what he thinks?
By the way... you really ought to be "imbarressed" for yourself.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. Hillary is doing enough damage all by herself. Is Kerry one of her supporters? Maybe he thinks he will be her VP. LOL!
