My cat has a huge hole on her chest! What's wrong?
It looks like a worm hole. It's as big around as a quarter and it's oozing with infection. I can't afford to bring her to the vet, but I want to help her!
She licks it constantly and seems to be in great health otherwise. Can anyone tell me what this might be and what I can do for her?
Thanks to everyone. I didn't realize that a vet might set up payment plans. I'm a single mom of 3 kids, and 12 rescued animals ... this is the first one EVER that has been sick/ill. I'll call the vet first thing in the morning!

Hi this could be a puncture wound or a warble which is a worm that will keep growing and take over your cat if you are able to grab it with tweezers then try this is very hard to do but, have seen it done take the cat to the vet they will work payments with you or call your locale shelter and see if there vet can help you at a lower cost they have meds for this
but, clean it out with betadine until you can get help.

Have money or not, this is serious and you are responsible for the health of your pet same as if it was your own child. Go to the vet and explain to the vet that you will have to make payments because of your financial situation. Most vets will give you a discount or reduction of bill since you are trying to do what is right. Do NOT wait, take kitty to vet.

Take her to the vet. It may already be infected. An antibiotic may be needed. It may be a sore or wound rather than a hole. Whatever it is, your cat is at risk if she doesn't get professional help.

Wow, I have no clue. Seriously, at least take her to the vet and ask the secretary at the front if this looks like she needs to be looked at, and if she says yes, then dip into your savings, its for your cat!

The vet will help you pet even if you don't have money.
This could be a tumor. I lost a cat to the same thing but it was on his face.
