I like this question. I am a Muslimah who wears hijaab and I know it was a point with my now husband when we were getting to know one another. But it should be pointed out that hijaab is just one detail in what a brother should look for in a wife. It is an unfortunate reality that under that hijaab can be a woman with little understanding of Islam and her rights and duties. I have known some kind, wonderful women who don't cover and some hijaab-wearing women who were the meanest, most judgmental harpies I've ever seen in my life. So I hope a brother would not discount a non-hijaabi out of hand or choose a hijaabi without knowing her better. Of course, the BEST way to find a good Muslim wife is to be a good Muslim man who is fulfiling his duties to Allah. If you are praying, fasting, your income is halaal, you are honoring your parents, and such, then Allah will surely reward you with a wife who will help you complete half your deen. And Allah knows best.

I am a Muslim and i prefer womens with scarf (Hijab).
and one thing that Islam has said womens to do Hijab and there is a reason behind this. No order Of Allah is without reason. Islam says to womens to use Hijab to gaurd their Modesty.
And if you use scarf, You will find more respect and love.
and it is obligatory for muslim womens to use scarf.

i once read in a newspaper that a poll showed most men prefer the woman with hijab and fair skinned
but that only applies to arab muslims in the gulf region and not all , most.
some( minority) actually prefer a woman not to wear hijab so their wives look "good enough" for business meetings or some some social reasons .
that's why hijab is a religious duty , no use to wear it to impress anyone , although wearing it to respect customs may be necessary . it should also be combined with good manners and chastity for it to be true hijab.

With Scarf
1-Quran says take wife from your own kind Since im am muslim how can i leave with someone who denies my beliefs?
2-Mostly Women with Scarf are more Trustable(in my opinion) ,As an muslim i cant see my wife flirting with another man which is very common in west

With because it shows that the woman has stature and holds modesty. But dont judge people on their looks as you get women who dont wear the scarf to be responsible and modest individuals.

I agree with superman. Some girls these days wear scarf's but act even worse than girls w/o.
The scarf doesn't mean anything to me, but a good girl wearing a scarf does.

i wouldn't want women to wear scarf if they are wearing it to look "pretty" but i would want women to wear scarf to respect our religion and they should wear it if they want to not because they have to!

well, first of all the women private parts of a women is every part of her body except her face and hands, plus if u have a women that is a mahram ( aunt, sister, mother, grandmother) that doesnt wear a hijab and u dont tell her to wear the hijab u get sins , plus its sitr which raiment, and only a munafiq who will not be jealous , and so its farz to wear a hijab, and i prefer that a woman that wears a scarf.

I'm not Muslim but I think head scarves are pretty - 2 generations ago my relatives wore head scarves (they were Catholic and from Italy and they called them babushkas) but living in American culture through the 60's changed the way that my family works. My parents' generation stopped wearing head scarves - it wasn't that long ago!
