Forgive Al Gore?

I heard recently that Al Gore's house is now very energy efficient, when previously, it was using 10X the amount of electricity as an average home. The question is: You think he can be forgiven for the transgression, or should we expect more out of an environmental spokesperson?

I won't forgive his claim about "inventing the Internet", but I am waffling on this issue.

Update:

Ok, I see what he said was out of context, thanks for the link.

Is he not doing enough? No! I do more than him (from the information I have), and a house 10 times the size of an ordinary house does not justify 10 times the power usage.

Update 2:

He should concern himself with my forgiveness, there is more than one of us, you know!

Update 3:

You are right, Matt!

It is not just AL

My gas and diesel usage is around 40 gallons a year! Sorry, I am working on that!

Forgive him? Give me a break. The press is trying to make this idiot a god. First of all, he hasn't improved poop in the house in Tennessee. The press just tells you he has. He flies everywhere he goes on a chartered private jet and buys carbon credits to justify it, but if global warming were really true, he'd be grounding his jet and taking a rowboat everywhere. He doesn't need a house that size, but instead of taking it down and selling the land and construction materials to build sixty Habitat for Humanity houses, and planting a tree forest there, he ignores popular opinion and does as all liberals do, try to justify it with a pile of lies. Forgive him? No, IMO he should be made to spend the rest of his life bound and gagged while he plants trees to replace the ones cut down to fuel his energy bills. Nobel Prize indeed. He's a liar, and a cheat, and despite being the lesser of two evils, we are indeed fortunate this a$$ was not elected President.

mmoonnii-Yes, he basically did get the Nobel Peace PRIZE for nothing. All he is is a figurehead that liberal greenies can identify with.

I don't think he needs to be forgiven. I have no problem with his extravagant lifestyle, I would be living much the same way if I were rich. The only thing you could say he has done wrong would be being a hypocrite, and you can't really blame that on him. After all, he is a democrat.

Just a drop in the bucket.

Id like to see all people who believe in Global warming politicians or no have totally green houses, cars, and themselves become vegans before I would take their claims seriously. Otherwise, they are just a bunch of hypocritical socialists that drive around in limosines and leerjets and think that America is the problem in the world.

Al Gore is the epitome of hypocrisy; he wants the rest of the world to have straw roofs and live green while lives in a huge mansion that sucks as much energy as 4 regular houses.

No, he gets no sympathy from me.

I would think that a man with all the financial resources he has would set a better example. If he believes so passionately in this cause he should be living in a home that is a model of energy efficiency and uses nothing but green and renewable resources. He should be doing even better than average.

Gore's family compound is more than 10 x the size of the average, 1300 sq ft Tennessee home, and he never said he invented the internet. So rest assured, he has not wronged you, and you have nothing to forgive.

Why single out Al Gore. In my view whole of America needs to consider their life styles: - from eating habits to utilities to housing they are doing it in excess- the world catches their fancies and it is very fast depleting natural resources.

I suggest they start from lessor use of paper - Americans per capita use of paper is most- cooked food is another - housing , they need to consider joint families once again , there are a whole lot of habits/ way of life which they need to relook - as World in last few decades have been following their pattern- It is time America Changes its ways of consumption and Family Life.

A 16,000 per month electric bill and calling for others to save...is UNFORGIVABLE

I can't forgive him for making up the Y2K bug scam or the Global Warming scam.

Oh Jim, Al Gore can hardly be bothered with your "forgiveness".

    Get over yourself.
