For didu.know?
My question for you got buried in the "who you'd like to meet from Y!A", but what kinds of dogs do you have?
Another question for you...are you completely anti-mutt or just anti-the mutts that idiots ask about on Y!A like designer dogs and dogs that don't exist? Just wondering. By pure coincidence I haven't owned a mutt in years so I guess for now I'm a purebred gal :)
Hehe this one was originally specifically intended for the user that needs a new account every day, but all are definitely welcome. Thanks for the stories--love to hear about everyone's "pack".
Thanks for your answer. It must be great to work your dogs in competition. What got you started with the Norwich in particular? Correct me if I'm wrong but they don't seem all that common in the general pet population; I don't think I've seen one in person.

If you adopt a "MUTT" from a shelter, etc...then they are usually great dogs...and need homes...if you are buying a MUTT or designer dog, then Poo Poo on that. I have two lab mixes that are awesome dogs that I rescued several years back but I am also a PUREBRED gal...I breed Golden retrievers and are totally in love with that breed....
Destiny (Blk lab/golden retriever mix) rescued 2000 she is now 7 years old
Sadie (Blk lab mix) rescued 2001 from the humane society and is now 6 1/2 years old.
Zoe Mae (Golden Retriever) she will be 5 years old in Jan.
Lilly Grace (Golden Retriever) 4 months old 12/29 my new baby puppy girl.

I have Three Saints, a Lab, a Peke a Mutt and a Poodle I care for. I am not anti Mutt. I have known some Wonderful Mutts that were great pets. I am anti creating more Mutts. I have volunteered in a shelter since I was a little girl more than 40 years now. Yes the occasional Pure bred does come in but, 99% are Mutts. If they arent created then they wont have to suffer being unwanted and killed. More time, thought and care is given to a properly bred Pure bred. Most ( not all ) owners of Pure breds have invested a great deal of time and money. Therefore they are more selective as to what happens to their dogs. These dogs on average have a better chance of having a good life. They arent as easy to toss in a shelter. Plus if they do end up there they have a better chance of being rehomed. Just me!

3 Black Newfs
1 Landseer
1 American Bulldog
1 Mixed Breed
Mutts are fine. I had one as my first dog...a Beagle/Basset Mix. That was in the days when you could say I have a mutt, or a Heinz 57, or a "cur"....whatever. Now, you cannot have a mix....you have to have a Bagle. Cannot have any mix without it having a cute name and being sold for mega bucks.
And with all this hos come the pack of lies that the "breeders' of these mutts sell with the dogs.
We all know and are tired of hearing all of these.
That is what I am against.

I know the question's not for me, but I'm NOT anti-mutt. I think mutts can be great pets, and I've had mutts myself, but I AM against people who deliberately breed mutts, ESPECIALLY those who give them made-up names and pass them off as "breeds".

I'm pro-mutt, and definitely anti breeders-who-intentionally-breed-mutts-and-make-up-names-for-them. My two are shelter mutts, and I've lived with many shelter mutts and purebreds.

I guess I'm purebred also all mine are full but if I was going to get a mixed breed I would get one from a shelter or rescue group or get one from a ad like this one in our paper today so I could try and save it FREE golden reteriver mixed puppies to good homes. Please help or they are pound bound I cant understand why people pay for these same mixed breeds just because someones gives them a cute name

I just think didu.know's answers are rude. I asked a simple question about Treeing Walker Coonhounds and he responded with "Why don't you get off your butt and...blah, blah, blah". I think he has some issues. It's too bad, since I think his message is a decent one (Don't breed mutts) but it gets lost in his apparent anger and subsequent rudeness regarding the subject.
