How about an Irish Wolfhound? They are great dogs. I am assuming you were only kidding about wanting to carry around a dog. Dogs have legs and pet stores sell leashes for a reason. Grow up, kiddo, getting a dog involves the same type of commitment as having a child. Would you have a child for the express purpose of matching an outfit you love, or to have compete in a beauty contest? It doesn't work like that, missy.

Well, most places I know of don't allow animals inside...so you might as well leave it at home, in which case you could get ANY dog. Dogs are not toys and you really don't need to carry them around. They have legs- they can walk. Who knew? You should be choosing a dog based on personality and to have a companion to love and who will love you. Not to carry around in a bag, get a purse in a dog shape if you want that.

Anyway, here are some small dog breeds:

    Chihuahua

    Papillon

    Yorkshire Terrier

    Westshire Terrier

    Poodle

    Schnauzer

    Bichon Frise

    St. Charles Spaniel

    American Eskimo Dog

    Pomeranian

    Maltese

    Havanese

The carrying around dog fad is stupid. You may notice that Paris and the other starlets who started this fad, no longer do it, which begs the question, what happened to the dog when they got bored with it'.

A dog is not an accessory, and people who carry their dogs around because they think it looks cute, will soon tire of it and then it's the dog who suffers. When you're old enough to see a dog as an animal who deserves respect then you'll be old enough for a dog.

Seriously, are you trying to be like all of the laughing stocks of society?

Your choose. But why not a chihuahua? Chihuahua's are good dogs.

Do you think the dogs going to attract some boy? Get a stuffed dog. One less Barbie doll.

    A dog isnt an accessory!!!!

They are animals and they need to be walked for exercise.

Yes these tiny little dogs like mine can become chunky monkies!!

    They need plenty of exercise.

They need to be treated like dogs not princesses or princes....

you should be looking for a dog based on personality not looks! this is why so many people end up getting rid of their dogs becuase they buy them based on looks and have no idea what the breed it like! I would recommend going to a site that tells you all about the breeds and pick a small one that also fit your lifestyle!

Dogs are not an accessory and you should NEVER choose a dog just so you can carry it around.

I have a Yorkshire Terrier and he is the cutest and sweetest dog, but a little spoiled. He's a good lap dog and he loves to play and go for walks. All and all yorkies are very good companions.

Dogs aren't accessories, despite the common celebrity trend. Get a fluffy purse.
