I need ideas for pink (and black) wedding flowers?
My wedding colors are black and light pink and I'm looking for flower ideas that will go nicely. In general I don't like light pink flowers by themselves, so I need help making a combination with some possible black flowers. Pictures help a lot!!

There are a ton of things you could go with. One is have a regular white cake, but have a black ribbon wrapped around the bottom of each layer with a single pink flower in the front. If you want to stay away from the flowers then you could just do a White cake with sugar designs, something that you both like. Maybe a celtic design or a theme like the linking hearts. Thing is, the ribbons and flowers are really popular because they are the cheapest thing. I just ordered my wedding cake like 2 weeks ago and the prices are already crazy let alone adding special things that the baker has to design or make. Maybe stick with a darker pink, or even a like hot pink just to avoid the pastel or girly look. My cake is a white cake with a dark pink ribbon around the bottom of each layer that has a kind of bow in the front w/the flowers that are in my centerpieces on them. This ended up being the main design only because i was able to buy the ribbon and supply the flowers so i'm only getting charged for the cake. If you want something special or that involves a lot of detailed work get ready to spend a ton on them. My cake was the simplest thing i found and it was almost $4.00 a slice and they are all done by slice depending on guest count. If you're gonna have a special design i'd be prepared to be like at least $8.00 a slice if not way higher. Good Luck!

If your planning on using fresh flowers then the best thing would be to talk to your florist so that you know what is available and how expensive it will be. The above poster is correct the fresh flowers that are labeled "black" are usually dark red or purple. Personally I really don't think these will look nice with light pink and your color scheme. Instead why not choose a variety of shades of pink and accent the bouquets with a black and pink ribbon. I think a black ribbon with pink edges will compliment and keep it from looking too morbid. You want to use black as an accent to keep it from being to dark and heavy.
Here are some image result I found by googling pink wedding bouquet pics:

The following flowers could be used: Roses, Calla Lily, Gardenia, Orchids, Tulips, Stephanotis, Gladiolus, Lilacs, Carnations, Apple Blossom, Magnolia, Narcissus, Aster, White Lilies.
However if you wanted to use black flowers as well, the following could work well: Black "Queen of Night" tulips or Black roses.
Always check with your florist to see what is in season to keep the price reasonable.

Black flowers don't exist in nature but they are available as silks. What are called black flowers that are real are actually a very dark red or purple that they may appear black in certain lighting.
You can tie a black ribbon around the stems.

I'm doing a cascade of roses and carnations in various shades of pinks and white. The bridesmaids bouquets will have the same flowers but in a small hand tied. I wish i had a pic to show but i don't, but my florist assured me it will be very pretty.
