Trainers are designed with the sport they are used for in mind, for example, running trainers are cushioned differently in different parts of the sole to protect against the shock or your foot falls. Laisure shoes arent quite so sophisticated in their desing - being more for comfort when you are walking about.

To support your ankles when runnning I would go for running shoes.

    -EDIT-

I am just reading some of the other answers here and they are recomending trainers to wear. These recomendations I think are based on personal preference and what suits you might not suit them and vice versa. The best way to pick shoes is of course go into a running shop and try some on. What fits me the best might cause you to get blisters. Having said that Running Fitness magazine - Feb edition has a shoe guide, the Ascis Gel Kinsei 2 and Saucony Progrid Paramount come out top. Most of the other top shoes score equally well with support, and I think to get support any good trainer will do depending which feels best. Personnaly I am going to go for another pair of New Balance - they worked OK for me last year so should again.

Your best bet is to visit a specialist sports shop near where you live. The staff are always well trained & will talk you through the type / distance of running your going to be doing and get you the proper shoe.

I use Greaves Sports in Glasgow.

specific you could, yet you will right now shrink their existence and usability as a soccer shoe. The cleats are in many circumstances made up of a particularly mushy guy made or rubber compound and could placed on down right now on concrete and asphalt. you additionally can finally end up slipping on moist blacktop or damp stressful floors.
