Does wanting keep you going?

If you had everything you wanted what would keep you going? What would there be to look forward to? (And don't say the fun of gloating over the have nots.) lol

I suppose the only thing that would keep you going would be wanting to keep the things you have. your spouse, children, money, etc. Once you get these things you have to make a conscious effort to keep them with you/loving you/maintaining relationships, etc etc etc.

Are the people who seem to have it all happy? Those who have property all over the world, six or more cars, yachts, and any other expensive "toy" you can imagine truly happy? Why do they keep accumulating stuff? It's not stuff that makes you happy. It's how you live your life. The gloating you mentioned doesn't sound like fun nor fulfilling.

Nothing would - if you had everything you want, then you would be carefree and wouldn't even try to be kind or hard working - what would there to be working for?!? I think that explains the whole deal with snobs/rich people. They already have everything that they want and so they treat those who don't have almost anything as dirt and those who need still yet, as if they were also nothing important. Life is unfair, as we know it. Amen.

Just being. Learning new things, reading, growing, giving. Having everything should lead to personal growth. It seems like the opposite though, because all these wealthy celebrities crash and burn. But not having to worry about work and all the bullshi*t should give you time to learn who you really are, and learn to love people (and self).

Though on a more superficial note... maybe one of those (hybrid) Lexus's would keep me going) L:D

    well .

nobody has what they truley want .

some have money but not love .

    vise versa even .

    determination.

    wanting somthing keeps you determined.

it keeps you pushing for what you want !

i personally think it makes you stronger .

what good would it be if you had EVERYTHING yu wanted .

you would be weak in life .

you wouldnt kno how to survive .

how to deal with things .

and most people look forward to what there is to become .

    or a goal .

usually they look forward to things they create .

    solutions to mistakes maybe ?

wanting is more then material. achieving all your goals dose not mean your lifes over, i certainly would not glot, i would look forward to the mantance and little projects ahead of me. i want to have an mantain a home, a relationship, a family and all the things they require for the sake of peace and contentment.

Yeah, why stress to get all you want to then just give up?

There is always the possibility of loss, so you'd wait for that to wait to get it again lol

wanting keeps the economy going..and we are constantly bombarded by new things to want by the media/TV..

you could look forward to smoking that fat bowl of weed in the morning..or you could look forward to fcuking Jessica Alba AND Scarlett Johansson 7 times each today..or something along those lines..

    there is ALWAYS more..always..

seriously though, i would take life for granted and enjoy every second of it. i would also give, true happiness is from within right?
