The Greatest 5 minutes ever!?

Okay, quit with all the "Greatest upset ever" or "Greatest Super Bowl ever" comments. Super Bowl XLII wasn't either. Last night's game was terribly boring until the last 5 minutes of the game. But I must say, the last 5 minutes of the game was indead intense! But not the greatest upset or the great Super Bowl ever. Who agrees?

I agree. The first 55 minutes of Super Bowl XLII was by far the most boring I have ever seen in a football game. I was saying to myself "Why in the world am I watching this?". There was no excitement. I was afraid the game was going to end 7-3 which would have be the lowest scoring Super Bowl in history. Thankfully in the fourth quarter things started to heat up and the game started to look like a Super Bowl. I am happy that I am not the only one to think that the first three quarters of the game were boring.

It will be hard to top the Broadway Joe's Jets for biggest upset. In my mind anyway.

As far as greatest Superbowl...it was pretty damn good. Just because the scoring was low does not mean it was not good. Watching the Giants D-line was entertaining...that is how you are supposed to play.

The second 49er/Bengals superbowl was low scoring and had a come from behind last drive by Montana....one of the best superbowls also.

Anyway, not sure what the best Superbowl ever is....to me it is when the Redskins kicked the holy crap out of Denver...but that is just my opinion.

I thought the whole game was great...it seems like everyone wants to see the offensive battle, but the first 3/4 of the game was a defensive battle...it was great!! They threw Brady aorund like a sack of potatoes!

The last 5 minutes was the cherry on top...Patriots drove down the field, giants drove down, but the pats couldn't do it again....

SB III will likely always be the biggest upset ever. The American Conference, to the NFL, was like an NFL champ of today playing a USFL team for the title. They thought the AFC was inferior, and they were 19 point underdogs.

Agreed. Uneventful and disappointing. I think it's funny how upset the media is. It seems everyone wanted the Patriots to win. I guess they would of had more to talk about with the undefeated season than they do now. Oh well. Exciting end at least.

Yeah, Eli manning plus the patriots defence Huh

Hmmm...whereas I am not old enough to have recollection of ALL the Superbowls...this one was pretty intense. Although, was it '04 that the game was tied up and Vinateri (was with the Pats then) scored a FG to win? That one was pretty good...

But -- EVER? I doubt it...I hear #3 was really good!

I agree! But I would like to add the first five minutes to that too! The whole middle part, including the half-time show was a complete dissapointment. (Who still listens to Tom Petty anyway? What were they thinking?)

I don't, it already beats the upset by Broadway Joe and the Jets against the Colts.
