I believe that Hillary will choose Obama as her running mate if she wins the nomination. She has been extremely complimentary towards him throughout the campaign except during the run-up to New Hampshire and South Carolina, where they were hospitable with one another despite the media blowing every detail and criticism out of proportion, especially criticisms made by third parties.

Obama has what Hillary needs. He mobilizes young people, he motivates independents, sways dissatisfied republicans, and he raises tons of money.

Obama on the other hand would be unlikely to select Hillary as his running mate. He needs to bring someone with more experience, and foreign affairs experience to his campaign, to combat his weaknesses, especially against John McCain. Look for either Bill Richardson (who also brings the Latino vote that Obama has failed to capture) or Jim Webb (who is the junior senator of Virginia and for Chief of staff of the Navy under Reagan, and brings east coast states that have seemed elusive to Obama). Hillary would take away his credibility as a centrist, and nullify his strengths.

Anyone who thinks Clinton has been cruel to Obama doesn't know political campaigns, and hasn't been paying attention to the republicans. You can expect much more negative campaigning in the general election.

4 presidents with equal or less experience than Obama- FDR, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Abraham Lincoln. Person with the most experience right now...Dick Cheney. What does experience tell us as a qualifying factor?

She has a couple of problems and so does Obama... if they solve them, they will be very powerful.

-1 I am sure her flip-flop on the war will be an issue. (I don’t think that I would be worried about the convention just yet. TX is a coming up etc. And remember John Edwards has some delegates to spend too. He could be an ace in the hole, or a deuce depending on how things move forward.)

-2 And the "possibtlity" of a deal that could work for both Clinton and Oabama-- Obviously Obama would NOT benefit from Hillary as VP on his ticket. But Hillary would easily benefit from Obama as VP.

-3 Apparently Hillary is perceived as having experience, and Obama is not. It solves that.

-4 It also solves the Iraq war piece for her. She says I was a dope, Obama agrees with her... it's going to work for the good.

-5 It also solves the race and gender issue too.

-6 Currently there is a now 30+ percent of Americans that will NEVER vote for Hillary. There are only about 13 percent that will NEVER vote for Obama. In a 50/50'ish race like the last 2 elections, then Mrs. Clinton has some trouble brewing.

So a Clinton/Obama ticket could be a good thing for the Dem's.

In conclusion: I predict that if Hillary runs alone against McCain, she is done by a narrow margin because McCain has the blue states and any vote AGAINST Hillary would go to McCain. If it is Obama, then there are about 20 percent more votes for him in those states. He could win by a narrow, but decisive margin.

If I was Obama and want the nomination, I would be out there pandering to the illegals and giving them something... like drivers licenses. That will put him over the top.

In the end, the DNC needs to run a ticket that can win. Remember what happened to Howard Dean... they ran Kerry!

I think they would need to see some research to see if this would further unite the party. I think that they honestly want what is best for the nation and whoever wins the nomination. It is starting to look like it would be a good idea with the race being so close.

I don't see it happening---the disparity between them is too smalI.

Last Tuesday, it seemed Obama got more states, but Hillary got two important ones.

If the disparity was greater, say +80% of delegates were about to support either one, and one has twice as much as the other (57% for one and 23% the other) then I see it happening; but such aren't the numbers.

Mind you, Obama has time and can more likely afford another primary---Hillary's ego likely wouldn't permit her to run again.

Unlike the Republicans, the Democrats---at least those who vote for president---would support either one, because either one likely is more attractive than the bozo's the Republicans have.

(Save Ron Paul, who's more his own man; though I'd vote Libertarian.)

    That's what I think.

Clinton would have to take Obama as the VP, but Obama wouldn't have to take her as his.

She can't afford to aleinate the black vote. They may not vote against her in the general election, but they just won't vote at all. The Democrats need every one of those votes they can get.

Obama, on the other hand, is still going to get the ethnic votes, the young liberals, and the guilty white votes. So he can choose whomever he wants as his running mate.

Winning the nomination would not cost Obama any support amongst the core Democratic voters, but it would hurt Clinton.

The plan has been in place for months...

They get along like old drinking buddies nowadays!

It'll be Obama/Clinton (watch and see)

And it will be HELL if any of them gets in.

    No better if it's McCain.

I'd hate to see Obama as Pres or VP. I just hate the fact that a junior baby senator with almost less than 2 years of term in the Senate has got this far. It's total hype because if it was anyone else not black (actually brown, only blacks and whites think he is black) they would be forgotten.

Viva las Clintons del White House!

I think that if Clinton gets the nomination then she will need Obama on the ticket to win. If Obama wins, I find it unlikely that he would choose Hillary. I think that he genuinely dislikes her and her negative campaigning methods and would pick Bill Richardson or maybe John Edwards instead.
