What do you think of what I have wrote so far?

You shouldn’t choose a career for the money. You should choose a career because it is your passion. The money will always follow if you choose a career that you like and enjoy most of the time. You will probably not enjoy your career if you do choose it for the money and you will most likely not be too good at the job.

You can make your dream come true if you work hard enough to achieve it. You should make goals and follow them in order to make your dream come true. You will never make your dream come true if you just sit there, dreaming about making your dream come true, and you don’t do anything to make it come true.

I like what you wrote. I would say that although it is generally best to follow a career because it is your passion, that doesn't mean the money will always follow. In my life, I have found that the work I'm most passionate about has not yet been accompanied by decent money. I am an idealistic, creative person who struggles to make enough money, and who finds myself envying those who happened to be born with an orientation towards the kinds of concrete, practical jobs that are more plentiful in our society. However, I would totally agree that even if our dream comes to nothing in the end, still we must follow it, because we don't know ahead of time what it will come to. We must give our dream a chance, and then, let go of attachment to the outcome.

  • Okay so i love this right now i am going to re-read it because mid way through i started crying,

maybe i am just an over emotional teenager who saying this doesnt mean much to you but this is really encouraging and i like it a lot!

i am really thinking about going into a career of social work of some kind.. but theres so many decisions and so much around me going on and so much negativity telling me i cant or i shouldnt or ill never make good money.

It is very good! :) Keep working on it. It depends really on what this is for. While I agree with poster 1, keep in mind that if these are words of encouragment, it has to make sense but do not have to be 100% "this-is-life." If it is for a project, then I say you have to go the realistic reassurance route. Good luck!

doesn't mean that you like the job you will eventually make money. i think it has to be realistic and you have to enjoy it in some way. you can pursue your dream but sometimes it may not work out.
