hello! i also 13..to lose weight i pushed my self at paces and then the weight came off, here are some tips you can follow to lose weight

    1) Set goals. You will be better able to make a realistic weight loss plan if you know how much weight you want to lose.

    2) Identify your weaknesses. Are you a bread fiend? Do you have dessert after every meal and every snack? Find the weakness and throttle it. It does not own you, you are stronger and cooler than to allow some silly little craving to knock you off your path. Note from another author: this is a good way to make yourself feel truely deprived and revert. Tips like those are great if you are trying to loose weight to fit into a dress in two weeks, but it is not practical for long-term weight loss. The same is true for the next tip.

    3) Throw away anything you know is tempting. Those cinnamon buns with 500 calories each? Gone. The Ramen noodles in your cabinet? Gone. The problem is that this is not always feasible. Often times we are not the only ones in our homes and therefore the call of the food must be withstood. In this case, out of sight truly is out of mind. Put unhealthy, unfilling foods in a drawer or in a cabinet that you rarely use. Put them all together to make a particularly unappetizing sight. Don't place them all in a decorative basket out on the counter. Place them in a drawer. A drawer heaping with pastries rarely looks like anything but a drawer of fat.

    4) Eat less, but eat more often. If possible, eat 4-5 meals a day. This helps your metabolism and blood sugar to stay level as well. This does require a change in your schedule. Eat less within 6 hours of your bed time. You're less likely to burn the calories closer to your bed time. It's fine to eat a large breakfast and lunch because your body will be working on burning those calories for the whole day. Large dinners are likely to go unburned and converted into fat.

    5) Do not skip breakfast. If you don't have time to prepare breakfast, buy healthy breakfast bars or those smoothies on the go. It is important to eat breakfast to jump start your metabolism and give you energy for the day. Otherwise you will probably end up falling back on unhealthy foods during the day. Yogurt is also known to boost your metabolism.

    6) Eat healthy snacks when you feel hungry between meal times. Healthy snacks would be things high in fiber, fruits and vegetables. Avoid high sugar and high calorie snacks. This will help you get nutrients as well as help lower your appetite so you won't overeat during meals.

    7) Increase your fiber intake. Fiber acts as negative calories. It's also filling and healthy for your digestive system. Make it a part of every meal.

    8) Eat slowly and chew more. Take time to enjoy your meals. This will help you to finish at the same time as others, and you'll not be tempted by a second helping. Also, chewing more will ensure you get the most out of all the food and it will be digested faster. The more you chew, the more your appetite will be satiated.

    9) Drink more water every day. Stay hydrated. Eight cups of water each day will help you to feel full. If you're a heavy soda drinker, limit your soda. Note that people drinking diet sodas tend to drink more and feel less satisfied, leading ultimately to a higher calorie intake. Just one extra soda each day can add tons of calories. water will clear out your system, and make you feel better, it is even clinicly proven to even clear up your skin!

    10) Increase physical activity. There are two ways to reduce net caloric intake: 1) reduce the number of calories in your diet and 2) Increase the number of calories that you burn in your daily activities. Both approaches are usually necessary and healthful and both are effective in losing weight. You can pick and choose which exercise you want to do, depending on your fitness level and drive. For example: walking, jogging, using the stair stepper, using cross training machines, swimming, tennis, and basketball. Weight training (and resistance training) can help reshape your body. The more muscle you have the higher your metabolism will be. Getting more exercise can be fun! try something that you love to do (ex. Horse-back riding, or even playing with your dog!)

11)Find active friends. Find people that will drag you out to do more active things. It doesn't have to be much, but any exercise, even walking around the mall, is better than none.

    12) Don't get discouraged. After one or two weeks of initial weight loss, it is quite common for your metabolism to slow down as it adjusts to the new calorie count. Stay on course and you'll see results. In some cases, the scale will tell you your weight is barely changing, but you may be gaining muscle weight while losing fat weight. Also make sure to weigh yourself first thing in the morning to try to avoid the fluctuations in weight due to water.

13)Take some advice! Everyone is going to have some tidbit of information for you. (here is mine) What worked for them might not work for you. Take it all in stride and work with what is getting results for you. Trying to do everything everyone says will only cause overload.

14)Eat small meals alot throughout the day. Even some rice snacks for snack would be good. When you have a break, eat some carrot sticks, or other vegatables. Try to cut down on the ranch though, it has lots of calories and fat even though it may make the vegatables taste good.

P.S DONT GIVE UP!!! this is a main reason why people dont lose any weight.

Good luck i hope this information helped

OK please do not try to lose weight fast. It's unhealthy, it won't happen, these things take time and I would just be very concerned about the damage you would do to your health by trying to do this.

And that's what it's all about, health not weight. Are you an unhealthy weight for your age, sex and height? There is a calculation for Body Mass Index, and you can usually find these calculators online but I don't really trust them to be honest.

The key to a healthy diet is a balanced diet. Eat at least five portions of fruit and veg a day, drink 8 glasses of water a day, eat fibrey foods in the morning especially to help fill you up until your next meal, try not to snack with junk food but with fruit/nuts instead. And yeah, just keep it balanced, of course you're still allowed the sugary stuff but just don't overdo it. Take things easy, don't obsess over it. Maybe let your family know you want to eat healthier so they can get more fruit and veg in the shopping.

And get a swim suit that flatters your shape :)

No one want to hear it, but fast weight loss leads to gaining the weight back. Slow and steady 1-2 pounds a week is the most you can lose and keep it off. Talk with your parents. Let them know that you want to start eating more healthy. Try to eat more fruits and veggies w/o sauces like ranch or butter. Add 30 minutes of exercise a day. Walking, jogging, light weight, high repitition. It's frustraiting, but it's the only way to get the weight off and keep it off. It's got to stay a life style or the weight will just come back.

    Eat right, and excerise.

    No fast food.

The best way to LOSE a lot of weight, but it's hard is to give up cokes.

Just no more cokes, and drink lots of water.

That's all you mainly have to do if you want to lose weight.

well it depends on where you want to lose weight at:

    your stomach/abs

do about 70-80 crunches every day, sometimes twice a day

    thighs

hold one leg @ a time up in the air for 6 seconds then lower it and repeat that for 20 times. Figure out other leg workouts to and practice them every day (that's where i needed to lose weight)

you have to go on a diet too, and get really good exercise

    good luck :)

Yeah the trap a lot of people fall into is trying to lose too much too fast. You need to commit to losing about 2 1/2 lbs per week. You do this by burning an extra 8750 calories each week. Each pound is made of 3500 calories.

Also you need to watch how many calories you are taking in. Getting rid of soft drinks and milk and replacing it with zero calorie tea or water and flavor mix cuts a few hundred out per day. Eating a bowl of cheroes or wheaties has about 100 calories for a good breakfast. Try to replace snacks with fruit or vegitables. Try to take in about 1200-1500 calories perday.

Then do the math to see how much excersize you need to do each week.

I am very sure you are petty just the way you are. But if you want to loss weight..............Find a healthy way to do it. No cokes, candy or ice cream...You get my meaning. Look on-line to see food low in carbs and sugars. Make a good goal maybe 3 lbs a week. Something that you can live with for the rest of your live. Healthy changes is a good thing. Good Luck and remember nothing happens over night. So keep up the good eating habits.

drink green tea! it makes you less hungry which helps you eat less. it works, i promise! everytime you drink it you dont want to eat.

make a list of food that you can eat other than what you eat now, like salads and veggies.

if jogging is too exhausting, then just walk. you can walk for hours and lose a ton of weight! trust me.

substitute chips for popcorn, chocolate for chocolate milk, and candy for fruits!

get out of the house for often- keep moving! and, dont eat before bed...when you're sleeping, the calories seep into yo' body and ... well, it;ll be harder to lose weight then!

I lost 4 pounds in 1 week because my appetite went WAY down, and I only ate 2 (very small) meals a day, and they were all healthy things, like Applesauce, oatmeal, Toast, hot soup, etc.

I heard there's something "magical" about walking for a half an hour everyday.

what you need to do is veryy very simple. first of all, you need to eat small meals... about 4/5 small meals a day. first breakfast: whole grain cereal. then lunch: something healthy, drink it down w/ water and have an apple as a treat. for dinner" something healthy then amke yourself a fruit salad and eat it. drink it down w/ milk or water. and you can if yopu want.. only have a small chocolate bar ONCE a day.

then while eating healthy.. do activites. go to swimming lessons OR jumprope! and you'll get fit/healthy.

    good luck!

put yourself on a (healthy) diet and exersize plan

try to get yourself into a routine of working out like after or before school

...if you try to do it in a fast and "easy" way trust me, it'll be great for awhile but you'll gain it all back

so be healthy and good luck!
