i usually tip a 5 to the person who retrieves my car. but, if you want your car to be put 'up front' where it can be monitored better then tip a little more (like 10 bucks) to the first valet that takes the car and let him know what you want. if the bags are numerous and you can't do it yourself, i'd also tip a 5er. i think thats decent.
if we are talking like a 5 star luxury resort type hotel, then i'd start at 10 for the tips. depending on how generous you are feeling, big spender!

If they just park the car somewhere between $2 and $5 is appropriate. If they handle the bags probaby add around $2 to $5 per bag. With the max being around $20 total.

I'd probably slip the guy a $5 if he carried 1 or 2 bags. another $5 to the valet for bringing my car around. you could give him a $10 when he takes your car, maybe he'll remember you and treat you better. hard to say. really depends on the hotel and the city.

Always tip,and when you want your car call about 30 minutes before you want it.Sometimes they get backed up and may have other cars ahead of you.
