Be honest, if the Religion and Spirituality section only contained sincere questions on R&S?

I like the general atmosphere. I think there are a lot of interesting people here. There are also a lot of interesting questions and answers.

I think the most irritating thing is how many people here make false generalizations.

I usually answer any question that I enjoyed reading unless I don't have a good answer.

I ignore questions directed to religions that have nothing to do with me. For example, if somebody asks Catholics something about mass, I'll ignore the question because I wouldn't be able to give a worthwhile answer. (I might read it if I'm interested in the answers though.)

I don't mind people asking questions over and over again. I just skip the ones I've read several times.

I don't know if I have a specific type of favorite question. I like the funny ones, but I like the ones that require a lot of thought too.

The whole 'debate' is what is a serious question? How do you gage someone's sincerity? Once you start trying to answer questions like that then you start getting into censorship and whilst there are some areas (to me) that are open and shut no go areas in a public forum there are more grey areas then you realise. At the end of the day it is easy enough to skip questions that you do not like, in fact if more people did that then there would be less room for some of the idiots/trolls who infect Yahoo Answers in general.

I enjoy spiritual more open ended questions where there is some room for debate or opinion. I keep coming back, because I still find it fascinating how all these people from different walks and ages of life actually come together and start communicatings ideas and beliefs.

This is my first time to this forum and i think once I can tear myself away I probably won't come back.

What keeps me here right now? It's like a train wreck and I can't look away. The ignorance is fascinating/scary.

I was hoping it would be more serious debate type of stuff, not dry or straightforward, but meaningful and interesting. I like different opinions because I believe that it helps all people grow to be exposed to lots of different beliefs.

The intolerance is also really intense. Maybe it's just kids or something or people saying things for the shock value of ridiculousness, but atheists filled with demons? If you're not with jesus you're against him?

so, I imagine this is the norm for this board. I'll stick with science and gardening from now on. Obviously people serious about spirituality are not so much round these here parts.

Great question my dear:

1) The great members in this forum keep me coming back.

2) "Bashing" questions of any type irritate me. (I ignore these)

3) I read every question my contacts ask. If I have an answer that I feel applies, I answer.

My favorite questions are the silly ones...also like the insightful questions that make me think.

Once again, it is the wonderful members in this forum. Many are like family. The only time I take a break is when the atmosphere gets nasty or if I am neglecting my home and family.

1) a - I like the cut and thrust, and all the R&S people are generally more thoughtful than they are in Elections. b - I need somewhere to come when Elections becomes a troll pit (which is all the time, lately).

When I first came to YA-R&S I was under the false impress that it was indeed a real Q&A fourm. After being here for awhile I soon learned that is was just a playground for trolls and others. I was wasting my time and I was also threatened by certain people of another religion which I will not honor enough to mention. I no long waste my time here.

This is the first post to this section in many month and I will probably not post here for a long time to come after this one. I saw this question while looking for another catagory so just stopped in to answer it, but for the most part I no longer post in R&S. This is a bit of a pitty, since I have a degree in Religious Studies and could be helpful to others, but it is not worth my time and energy. I will, however, admit that I too did like the WSIDR, is he still around?

If R&S was strictly sincere, I would spend less time here.

I have to admit that I like the "hustle and bustle"...but I could go for more of...educational type of vibe.

I love to learn about new things and different perspectives...cant do that so well when you have to feel constantly on the defensive.

Im sorry...you have specific questions...this is my last question for the night...Im obviously tired. Ok...

1) I love my contacts and I like learning new things

2) I make myself irritated because there is bound to be a difference of opinion.

3) The real deep philosophy questions...I answer a few...but sometimes I know that it is best for me to be quiet and learn something.

4) The ones that say..."For this...fill in the blank...only" I respect their privacy

5) "Why" questions...they're sorta old...just my opinion

6) The ones that include everyone...where we all come together as a collective group and put "Our" Truth in without judgement.

7) The challenge...the challenge to remember My function as a human being, to get out of my "box" of possibly limiting beliefs.

Most if not all answers to serious religious questions are readily available online.

I am here for opinions mostly.

I come back for the absurdity.

I am irritated by the people who come here only to hate.

I answer a wide variety, but enjoy reading the stupid questions too.

I ignore most prayer questions.

I wish "why are we still monkeys" would stop being asked.

My favourite questions are on the history of Christianity, and Judaism.

Thumbsing down questions, much better than flagging them.
