Why is a forum about religious answers so full of things hateful to religion?
We're supposed to come to Q&A Religions asking for enlightenment. Not to spew anti-religious venom.
If any religious person here has a 'better god' than someone else here, why do so many of you use the act of hate to disclaim someone else's god? Do you do this because your god asked you to?
Now THAT is a religious question, isn't it?
Is any god that would preach Hate even a real god, or is that just one more service for evil?

The young'ums on all sides do get a little hot-headed here on R & S. Suppose, that is what makes it interesting. Yes, some of it is downright hateful. You have to take it when it is sent to you, the good, the bad and the truly hateful. And sometimes it can really bring you down. Is this really a type of micro-cosmo of the real world? Is this what people truly think or believe? It can be quite an eye opener, but, like all things, remember, it all depends when you come on here, at night time, the answers/questions/opinions are a lot more raw.
Don't let it get you down, there are a lot of truly amazing people also out here on this site, get to know them and they will be generous with information. Take care!

Those secure in their faith or belief keep their peace and are not shaken by personal or religious or anti-religious attacks.
People not secure in their own beliefs feel a need to defend them in the face of different views. When unable to defend their views without some lingering personal doubt they believe that the best form or defense is attack and so become part of a vicious cycle. They need an opposing view to validate their own - thats all.
I am sure some have multiple accounts and are only bored. They will be fundamental Christian one moment and then Atheist the next. Muslim and then Mormon. Some are just angry at the world.
The important thing is that there are many wonderful people of many varied faiths and belief systems and they speak their truths with wisdom and insight. They recognize and respect others and they bring much love and understanding with their contributions.
Every hateful response begins as one of love or a cry for love but the filter of their past and their conditioning sometimes obscures this. Look past the dysfunction and love the lovable in everyone no matter what they may appear.

Very simply because there are a multitude of people here with differing views who are ALL absolutely convinced that they only they and those that share their views are right.
With such absolute conviction, taking off and declaring that others whose ideas differ are lost, stupid, ignorant, deluded, in need of prayer, divine intervention, psychiatric help, or enemas (cute one that...) seems perfectly alright. After all, if I am absolutely without a doubt correct in my belief doesn't that mean I have a right to point out the foolishness and stupidity of someones backward and incorrect belief?
No, it doesn't.
When it comes to spirituality, for the most part all that even the most devout can say is that THEIR personal spiritual life, philosophy, or lack thereof, is real, healthy and beneficial to them. There is little that can be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt and as long as that is true, no one can declare that "you are wrong because my God/Goddess/philosophy/religion is true and real and yours is false and/or dangerous. The fact is that we simply do not know anything for certain. And as long as that is true, no one NO one, has the right to stand on a soap box pointing down at anyone telling them how very wrong they are.

*drink* [Don't worry, it's only water]
The CATEGORY of questions is "Religion and Spirituality." The questions here are on that topic. Anyone can ask or answer in any category, so long as they are polite. If they get over the top rude, report them and move on.
The video link below may answer some of the specifics as to why an atheist like myself cares about religion.
Also, "Spirituality" is a sufficiently broad concept that almost anything goes.

A lot of people make the claim that others are spewing hate, or saying hateful things about religion, but I see very little of what I would call hate speech here. I see a lot of people disagreeing, and others calling that disagreement hateful. It isn't. Grow up. People will disagree on occasion, but you don't have to call that hate.

You seem to be defining the word "Hate" as being in disagreement with another, expressing a different viewpoint, or correcting the misconceptions of others.
Don't shake your head "no"... that is exactly what you are doing. You are saying that if I, as a Christian, have a "better god than someone else here," and I "disclaim" their god, or their beliefs, that it IS an "act of HATE" to do so!
It is NOT Hate to correct someone when they are wrong, otherwise, all the teachers in the world would be HATING their students whenever they correct the student's papers or tests, or such.
It is NOT Hate to DISAGREE with someone. I am disagreeing with you right now, does that mean that I HATE YOU? Certainly NOT! Then all intellectual discourse would be considered HATE... and it is not.
Is it HATE to express a viewpoint, idea, concept, etc., which is DIFFERENT from someone else's viewpoint, belief, etc.? Daren't I say it is not.
And yet, you are FULLY and COMPLETELY implying by your statement that if I do any of these things, that I am HATEFUL. You are showing an anti-religious bias by this, and I resent that. You start out saying "nicey-nice" things about being hateful to religion, and not to spew anti-religious venom, and then the rest of your "question" ASSUMES that any RELIGOUS person who attempts to argue for their religious beliefs is using an act of hate!
God wants us to be WITNESSES to His Truth and Love. He wants us to TELL people, to explain to people, to SHOW people all about Him. But you are assuming that ANYTHING that we say, as Christians (and I am filling in your assumtion that you are addressing Christians as these "religious" people), to TRY to WITNESS to, to TELL, to INFORM, to SHOW people about our God is automatically an "ACT OF HATE."
Frankly, it is just the OPPOSITE. It is a true act of LOVE to try to share with others the loving message of God's redemption. It is an act of LOVE to explain all the good things God is. It is an act of LOVE to show others the power of His love so that OTHERS may share in that GOOD NEWS.
Now... THAT is a religious ANSWER, isn't it?
Have a blessed day.

Some spiritual people do not hear phoney gods and demons in their heads, telling them what to do - and realiaze what a horrible and dangerous thing it is to glorify, elect and join in the crowds of group hysteria that have burned and drounded innocent women and children, calling them "witches" .. or burned people at the stake and tortured them in religious cells "legally".
When we, in our search for Truth, see these fake and dangerous weeds growing up in the streets and internet pages of our society, we do the couragious and moral thing, and call a spade a spade .. and hold our answers and thoughts up to the standard of intellect and scientific proof ....... WE do not claim to hear all knowing and all powerful whispers in our ear telling us what others should do "or else"
So called "religious answers", as you say, when they run contrary to reality and reason MUST be challenged, lest we slide back into the dark night of religous rule ..... Yeuccccccch!

Thats how our entire population devided into a seperated country. We are judgmental bastards! We say things and we show who we truly are(personality), we have to face the top people who designed religion and end this frusteration forever. We will win by removing our federal note on our dollar bill.

There's someone with horns and a tail who does not want the religious to have a peaceful place where they can compare notes and exchange views :) On a serious note, this is really a touchy topic.

The venomous answers and questions that come up on this forum shows we are in a spiritual war. There is more going on here than just a simple exchange of information. Forces of darkness seek to stop people from getting closer to God. They stir up hatred and bigotry and foolishness in people. When I come here to answer questions I have to pray and not allow the anger and bad attitudes to affect my answers. I don't come here to just answer questions, I hope to influence people to draw closer to God and to Jesus Christ and that is something satan can't stand, so he opposes it and creates arguments and strife between people.
