Should Obama now drop out since Hillary has won the popular vote?

When all the votes are counted, Hillary has won the popular vote. Obama should drop out, and bow to the will of the people. The DNC political machine should also bow to the will of the people. Super delegates have until the convention to change their mind, they should all now start lining up behind Hillary for the good of the party.

Update:

The people of Florida and Michigan didn't get a say when their delegates were taken away, their popular vote should be counted, or this will be a stolen election.

Should dirty back door politics be allowed to win out?

I just read this question tonight.

To all the Obama fans: yes, she won the popular vote. But the delegates are (oh, what did Obama's people call it a few months ago?) thwarting the will of the people!!!

Are you using Hillary's delusional count that doesn't include caucus votes? Popular votes don't count for anything. Most caucus states don't even report them. Obama won fair and square. Hillary can't win the nomination she can only steal it.

quit gulping the kool aid, it is yet to be established whether Hillary has the majority of the popular vote, it could only conceivably occur with the inclusion of MI which doesn;t count because Obama was not on the ballot.

That being said, who cares? the candidate is selected based on delegates, not popular vote.

LOL It's interesting, in the last hour or two RealClearPolitics.com updated their site to include the Florida votes but they now have it arrange with a (w/o MI) and a (w/o MI & FL) section as well as caucus delegates. I found it funny because they have 4 of 6 columns for Obama winning but they math is old and excludes MI to do it.

    Here's where we actually sit....

PRE DNC RBC meeting seating FL & MI

    Popular Vote Total - Obama 16,690,210 (49.1%) to Clinton 16,229,691 (47.7%) -- [Obama +460,520 +1.4%]

    Estimates w/IA, NV. ME, WA* - Obama 17,024,303 (49.1%) to Clinton 16,453,553 (47.5%) -- [Obama +570,750 +1.6%]

POST DNC RBC meeting (Including Florida and Michigan votes)

    Popular Vote Total - Obama 17,266,433 (47.5%) to Clinton 17,428,986 (47.9%) -- [Clinton +162,553 +0.45%]

    Estimates w/IA, NV, ME, WA* - Obama 17,600,517 (47.6%) to Clinton 17,652,848 (47.7%) -- [Clinton +52,331+0.14%]

WITH PUERTO RICO RESULTS AND POST DNC RBC MEETING (Including Florida and Michigan votes)

    Popular Vote Total - Obama 17,386,972 to Clinton 17,689,979 -- [Clinton +303,007]

    Estimates w/IA, NV, ME, WA* - Obama 17,721,065 to Clinton 17,913,841 -- [Clinton +192,776]

Just for argument's sake (Note: we're giving Obama votes that we cannot give him by rule)

ROUGH ESTIMATE BASED ON MICHIGAN (with PR results)**

    Popular Vote Total - Obama 17,565,598 to Clinton 17,689,979 -- [Clinton +124,381]

    Estimates w/IA, NV, ME, WA* - Obama 17,899,691 to Clinton 17,913,841 -- [Clinton +14,150]

(**At the RBC meeting they claimed Exit Polling suggested as much as 75% of the 238,168 "undecided" votes were Obama votes meaning, roughly, 178,626 votes may have gone for him -- PLEASE NOTE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL HOW MANY VOTES HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AND WE CANNOT GIVE HIM VOTES THAT WERE NOT ACTUALLY CAST SPECIFICALLY FOR HIM - THIS IS FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY!)

You have been suckered by Billary if you believe that. Consider this: The "Caucus" states do not HAVE a popular vote. She didn't win any of those.

Dirty back door politics was invented by the Clinton's, what now, they want their own game rules changed, I do not think that would be a wise idea.

They just announced on CNN that Obama will have problem carrying latino vote.

She doesn't have the popular vote if you don't gout FL and MI, who didn't play by the rules. That's like saying Barry Bonds is the greatest player in MLB history.

Why would he drop out if he has the win locked up?

  • only reason obama is ahead on those delegates is he BOUGHT those super delegates!

google "obama buys super delegates" for real news stories on how much and who he bought.

84% of the delegates backing him have been paid by him for their vote

so much for a "change" in the way he does politics huh?

I tried posting a couple of those stories, but yahoo has them censored.

also, realpolitcis.com has how much each of the supers got from obama.

they also have how much he paid for his endorsements.

    like

    richardson, 345 thousand

    mcgovern 82 thousand

    davies, 210 thousand

looks like old school politics to me!
