Quebec City!!! Romantic place, especially if you stay within the old City (within the walls). A lot fo things to do, and you can even rent a car - or better, go by train - and go spend a day or two (most likely three) in Montreal (2,5 hour drive -or 3 hour train ride- from Quebec City). Check out these accomodations within the old Quebec City:

    Auberge St-Antoine: http://www.saint-antoine.com/

    Hotel Dominion 1912: http://www.hoteldominion.com/

    Hotel Clarendon: http://www.dufour.ca/fr/dufour_menu/hotels/hotel_c...

    Hôtel Port-Royal: http://www.hotelportroyalsuites.com/

and of course, famous Château Frontenac: http://www.fairmont.com/Frontenac/

We LOVED Niagara Falls...there is so much fun stuff to do, and really, all you need is a good hotel and some spending money. Niagara on the Lake is cute as a button, and we loved doing the winery tours and wine tastings, plus we splurged and did a hotel tour with all the touristy things, which was about $120 each...but it paid for tickets to Maid of the Mist, Journey under the Falls, the Skylon Tower, the IMAX movie, the Butterfly conservatory, and a guided tour, which honestly was the BEST part. I think we spent about $600 all together for 3 nights, but if you book ahead and look for packages (try the Courtyard by Mariott) you could stretch it even further.

    Go to Oshawa!

No, don't go to Oshawa. It's gross.

Niagara Falls is nice, but it's becoming more and more crowded. Québec City is a great place. It's not too crowded, and most people in the old part of the city know English (not so much in the new part, but if you're there you're most likely there for the hotel). Hotels are quite reasonable.

When you go into the old city, it will be like walking into 16th Century France. There is a lot of history, seeing as it is the first city founded in Canada. Go on at least one ghost tour during the evening and at least one walking tour during the day. If you get the chance, go to the Baupré Coast and check out the basilica (Ste. Anne de Baupré). The food is amazing everywhere you go. I recommend Le Cochon Dingue and Le Petit Cochon Dingue.

Avoid going on the St. Jean de Baptiste weekend (or any festival for that matter) or it will be crowded. I'll warn you in advance that the Québecois are famous for being terrible drivers, so don't jaywalk.

Of course people will answer Niagra Falls (which IS fun by the way...I've been twice). But I know of a place even nicer, and not that far from Niagra Falls. It's a little part of Niagra called "Niagra on the Lake." There are beautiful outdoor cafes, places to see great plays, shopping, and cute bed and breakfasts... Check it out!

My vote is for Banff and Lake Louise in Alberta - so beautiful, so romantic! If you go, stay at a B&B in Camrose (nearby), it's much cheaper, and they have all sorts of honeymoon packages.

Montreal is beautiful. Lots of things to do in all budgets.

Near Thousand Islands and Seaway - lots of places if you like camping, fishing, boating. Really pretty and reasonable.

    And then, Niagara Falls Canada.

    Congrats

  • I love Niagra Falls, it's beautiful. I haven't been since I was 13 (almost 27 now) and I am dying to go again.

pass to the Grand Canyon. you may hike to the backside, then pass white water rafting... there's a ranch on the backside the place you may stay for some days, then hike back out. i in my opinion have in no way completed it, yet I pay attention that's impressive. sturdy success, and Congratulations!
