No stimulus for the unemployed?

I used the taxpayer advocacy of the IRS to resolve back taxes from 1991.The statue of limitations is up and they agreed to not take any collection efforts until my financial situation has changed.I have been unemployed for almost a year now and have exhausted my benefits.

I did get a letter saying my stimulus check should be mailed no later than 6/20. Today is 6/25 and still no check. If anyone really needs a stimulus check it's someone in my situation but then again they had to fight just to extend unemployment benefits in the worst economic times I can remember. But why spend money on Americans when we have to rebuild Afganistan and fight a war where the enemy has no navy, airforce, uniforms or smartbombs. But those carbombs are sure keeping our military busy.I don't get it,can't understand it and am counting the days until Bush is FINALLY out of office.

Oh well, the money probably would have wasted on things like food and gas anyway.

Are you trying to tell everyone that there hasn't been 1 single "Help Wanted" sign in your area for a whole year?

Sweetheart, there are jobs out there if you really wanted one. It might not be what you THINK you deserve, but it will give you something to do other than complain that you aren't getting money for not doing anything. You're not contributing to anything so why reward you for it?

Get off the computer & look for a job instead of looking for sympathy.

although no longer formal however the Democratic governor of my state has stated he's popping down the unemployment area of the stimulus money additionally. The adjustments required to be made completely to the state regulation here might actual consume different the investment up only protecting that and after next 365 days might very much improve the money required so that's not a sturdy mid to long term economic pass. The section time component is a splash different here in that we conceal some section time workers yet no count if or no longer the we would ought to conceal student and people working section time is questionable and lower back if it did might place a bigger burden on the equipment without watching residency standards which might ought to be replaced. individually I regarded on the invoice and examine it, then regarded at what my state covers and that i got here to the comparable end because of the fact the governor-those strings are too tight and make for an eternal replace which could not be much less costly. i'll discover it exciting if the rule of thumb put in there allowing a state legislature to over rule the governor in spite of state regulation is placed to a attempt-individually think of that's a substantial intrusion of the federal government into how a state government runs and may well be governed unconstitutional; if no longer then we are actually asserting the federal government runs the state and local governments in entire.

I hate to tell you this cause I understand what your going through. In 2003 Mr Bush gave a $800 tax cut.I did not get this check and I also was unemployed 6 months in 2002.I had four children at the time and it was hard getting by.I didn't draw unemployment even though I could have gotten it.I lived on my severance package and savings while training for a new job.

I didn't get a dime even though I worked a half a year.I have been ticked off with Bush since then.

I got one this time however but it wasn't nearly what I thought I was going to get. My kids are all grown except one and they gave me and my wife and son $1200 .We should have received $1500.I will also be a happy man when Bush is finally out of office. The stimulus package should also go to the unemployed .I think you may get yours when you file next years federal taxes.God bless you. Bush has been a joke as a president.

Its retarded Americans like you that give us a bad name. GET A JOB!!!!! McDonalds and Burger King and other similar places are always hiring! Stop being lazy, get out there, get a job. Whenever I couldnt work (officially, because of age), I would go work the watermelon fields with the illegal mexicans and I would also collect cans to sell! If you dont like the government, then go somewhere else, go to another country. I bet you a million dollars (which I wont get because youre too lazy to get a job) you'll be coming back and happier than ever to be back in the US. You owed the government taxes and they agreed to not collect any until your financial situation got better, yet youre still complaining??? GEEEEZE!!!

**To the person asking and to the answer below me (Mark D), Im so glad you're all waiting for a president thats going to tax even more on people who actually work so the government can sustain you lazy bums that have no desire to work. Get a life people!!

The stimulus check is money to stimulate the U.S. economy not idividuals. The money is a refund of income taxes that were paid for 2007. If you paid no taxes in '07 you won't get a check.

The rest of your rant doesn't make much sense and does not appear to be related to the question.

Why don't you just get a job, and quit relying on the government to support you.

Try Craigslist they have lots of jobs, it might not be your dream job, but after a year on unenjoyment at the taxpayers expense, you should take any job you can get, then look for a better job after that.

I would rather give my hard earned income tax dollars, to an oppressed and war torn, IRAQ citizen, then to a American riding unemployment.
