My laptop touchpad is way too sensitive, what can I do?

I assume you are using Vista but if not XP is relatively the same thing

Go to Start -> control panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Then click on mouse, somewhere in those settings should be the option to fine tune or turn down the sensitivity

I followed the instructions on several sites that stated "Just go to the control panel and click on the settings tab." Only issue was, there was no settings tab.

You can try this. Click on your start button then on control button . Click on mouse. On mouse properties you can change several settings.

The reason I now have a laptop is because my Sis-in-law couldn't stand the touch pad. She gave me the laptop & went back to her desktop. The first thing I did was go buy another roller ball mouse like I have on my desktop & attach it to USB port. End of problem. The mouse fits in laptop case so it goes with me.

I tried an easier way, I put an iphone screen protector sheet(customized) on the touchpad, it becomes less sensitive now, try it, maybe it will work for you too.

Go to control panel click pointing devise/mouse and adjust the pointer sensitivity click apply and save. Use USB wired or wireless mouse, quicker and better than using the touch ad.

usually there is a built in option for mouse sensitivity.
