Where are the Apostles at?

The scriptures are clear that Christ's Church is built on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets with Christ being the chief cornerstone. (Eph 2:19). Paul was also clear that the Lord gave us Apostle for our edification until we all come to a unity of faith. (Eph 4).

When Apostles were killed, others were ordained in their place. Judas was replaced. James was replaced. In fact, the Apostle Paul was not one of the originals. He was one who was called to be an Apostle after others had died.

Christianity is not unified. You could go into any Christian Church and find a thousand contradictory things preached, all claiming the Bible as their authority. So where are the Apostles? Where are they who can truly give the Holy Ghost?

You are correct to wonder. It was prophecied that the second coming, or the times of refreshing, should not come until there first shoud be a falling away. Then it was prophecied that there should be a restoration of all things. The apostles were killed in the first and second century and new ones were not ordained to take their place. Thus, the authority was lost, a falling away did take place. The restoration of all things began in upstate New York in 1820, culminating in the formation of The Church of Jesus Christ in 1830. In 1835, a new quorum of twelve apostles was created with the authority restored from Peter, James and John. Their successors continue to this day, leading, guiding and teaching all those that choose to be united in the faith as you have pointed out.

Where are they located? In Salt Lake City. What is the Church? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Who was the prophet that brought this about? Joseph Smith Who is the prophet today? Thomas S. Monson

The stone has bee cut out of the mountain without hands and has rolled forth to cover the whole earth. The stick of Joseph has been combined with the stick of Judah and has become one in our hands. Christ's other sheep have been discovered and the gospel message has been imparted to them.

Come, see for yourself. People no longer have to search to and fro, thirsting for the spirit of God and not knowing where to find it. It is here. It is available. Drink and thirst no more.

The Church did fall into apostasy after Christ died and all the original apostles died. It was in apostasy for hundreds of years before it was restored to the earth. One of the most important parts that went missing when the apostles died was the power of the priesthood. All these churches that contradict one another are lacking one fundamental quality--the power of the priesthood, which is God's power to act in his name here on earth.

The priesthood was restored to the earth by Peter, James, and John to the prophet Joseph Smith in the early 1800s. There are living apostles today and a living prophet at the head. The church that has this authority is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Like so many of the others said, they are helping to lead the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church, along with God and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primative Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

The twelve apostles sit in leadership over the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). They are led by a prophet and 12 apostles, just as described in the Bible as being necessary.

The Apostles are in the ground awaiting the final resurrection, just like everyone else. As for the disunity of the church, you are dead right. This is why it has no power in this world, and it will not until the unity matter is resolved.

The Catholic Church claims apostolic succession......each priest, bishiop and cardinal are in a direct line back to the original apostles.

Christianity was unified until the 1500's when Martin Luther decided he knew a better path to follow Christ, hence the Protestant Revolution and now the more than 30,000 different Protestant denominations.
