For me it's any Marine from 1971 back. I served from 72-82 and recently was called "Old Corps" by a young Marine. Guess it depends on age and point of view. Doesn't really matter:

    Old Corps

    New Corps

It's still all of our Marine Corps!

Well to me its when the Marines were alot more hardcore like you could drink and drive onto base and they would just tell you to walk home or something like that when camaraderie was more evident and i guess also when Marines used to get hit in boot camp.

When i hear "Old Corps", I think of chesty and his days where the marines were unstopable, and hardcore, compared to now, i bet half of the marines today wouldn't last in chesty's era

It comes down to the first Marines signing in Tun Tavern...

The first guy steps up and signs his name on the dotted line.

"Go stand over there!" Sam Nicholas says.

The second guy steps up and signs his name.

"Go over there with the other one!" Sam says.

When the second guy goes over the first guy says "You know back in the old Corps..."
