Who among you have had a great loss in your life?

I loss my husband 18 years ago and I still miss him every day. He was my world.

I've lost both of my parents to cancer, and one of my best friends last year. At 51, I know I am fully grown but it's still hard having no parents. My daughters are fully launched and my son will graduate high school this spring, then head off to college. I have been single for many years: I count the end of my marriage as a death. I feel that loss has been a constant in my life and today, I am feeling very much alone in this world.

I lost my best friend, who was also my next door neighbour for 15 years through cancer, She had been having bits chopped of for years because of it, until it got into her bones. I gave up smoking because of how cancer ravaged her. It literally ate her alive.

i lost my best friend, my boyfriend and 3 of my closest friends in a car crash and me and another guy only survived and it was horrible and devastating and the driver is still in a comma

in the process i lost myself as well :(
