I really need to know something.?

I'm just wondering. Is there a reason that some people who claim to be animal lovers just criticize people rather than offering viable solutions to problems or intelligent answers to questions? It seems to me that if someone really loves animals, they'd want to help people who are having problems with their pets and offer suggestions and solutions rather than just criticizing. Sometimes, if someone is given a solution, that might just save an animal from being abandoned, taken to a shelter or mistreated. In my opinion, just criticizing serves no GOOD purpose whatsoever -- it doesn't offer any solution to help the animal and it just makes the pet owner mad. Sorry for getting on my soapbox, but after reading so many answers, I was just wondering about this. Any ideas or comments?

Unfortunately there are people who enjoy criticizing others for what they believe in whether they are animal lovers or whatever the issue may be. People can be very cruel. Many times these people are insecure and feel in power when they are putting others down. Believe me, they are not. They are just showing a terrible side of themselves. Helping others is so rewarding. Animals are life as well as humans are life. By our helping the animals, we are doing a great service. Keep your positive attitude and try to ignore the ugly comments that are posted from time to time.

I totally agree with you! People are just asking questions and it seems like so many replies are so negative. Like the people who post that if your animal is sick than if you can't afford a vet than you shouldn't be a pet owner because you wouldn't do that to a child. If you have a sick child and no money you can't be refused help at the ER. Vets can be different. People should just give honest advice if the have some and stop being so mean :-( Thanks for bringing it up!

i agree with you! i'm an animal lover and I don't criticize. I believe in helping someone with a problem with pets. Well, I got this question that awas about this stray dog that was sick and had worms, etc. and if wat they shud do. And you know what I said! I said put up posters about the dog(obviosly the owner is cruel, but may b they lost him) and see if any body responds. If nobody does it's yours! U people that criticize, u hav a problem.

I totally agree with you. I try to answer questions to the best of my experience (70yrs), and really get frustrated with the "smart aleck" answers and the rantings of some of the people.

Sometimes, even the questions are "unworthy".

Hope we can continue to help those who really want it.

    Good luck.
