New game for kitten-and it's easy?
I find keeping a kitten entertained is an endless job, i am always looking for games to play with her...I have long hair, so i always have the cloth covered ponytail holders..Since she likes to fetch (retrieve) things, i put the ponytail holder over my finger and it becomes a soft flying object for her, and its safe...She has learned that if she brings it back to me, i will do it again..now she will fetch it, come to me, lay down and drop it...very cute....i always tell her what a good girl she is and pet her when she lays down nice, then i shoot it again..is working for us...
My vet told me a horror surgery story about a cat that had a 3 foor piece or ribbon in its intestines...so i dont use any type of string, yarn or ribbon, and she is not in the room when i wrap presents,,by the way,,that poor cat died after the surgery....

hehehe cute story i have a cat who will retrieve plastic bottle caps from a sink with some water in it so they float. I use this as a distraction for her when im trying to get stuff done. Once she's fished one out she does her "I've got prey" meow to let me know she's done it. Then I go praise her and drop it back in the sink lol keeps her busy long enough to get the laundry done or wash a sinkful of dishes i believe cotton buds are British for cotton balls?

Aw, that's really sweet, one of our cats also loves to retrieve things. They also love bits of string and the shiny ribbon you tie presents with. One of their favourite games is when they're lying down on something like a blanket on a sofa or a duvet on a bed, then slide your hand underneath and they think there's something alive under there and chase it all over! It's so funny to watch - just make sure that the blanket/duvet is thick and their claws won't get through to your skin!

ok this sounds weird but try getting a cotton bud let her see it and then throw it for her to retrieve my cats just goes absolutely nuts over cotton buds he even retrieves them out of the bin when ive used them for makeup! he is entertained by chasing them for hours - try it she might go mad for them too!
