To get unconfused you need first to decide for yourself what is right and what is wrong. If you look to others to make this decision for you you will stay lost.

Yeah God, Jesus, and most of the other stuff in the bible is nonsense.

I went through a phase where I started looking for answers like yourself.

Took some classes dealing with religion, read some religious books, studied and looked into many of the popular present religions, but also past ones as well.

I came to the conclusion it is all nonsense made up by people who didnt understand how the world really worked. Mythology was very common back then, the stuff that survived is called "religion", where as the stuff that died out is called "mythology", but there is no difference

First of all it is impossible not to sin, and yes you are forgiven if you believe. Secondly you can not simply have a total disregard for the laws, that is also covered in the Bible. So once you are saved you can not just go sin with the idea that it does not matter, you are forgiven. And yes the people that outcast others are wrong, the second most important commandment is to love one another.

I have a fairly good idea that if I leave my 1 year old grandaughter in the kitchen with a plate of cookie within her reach that one (or more) of those cookies will make their way into her stomach. I am not forcing her to eat the cookies, nor am I approving of her action. Nor does that excuse her actions, since she still made the choice to eat it. But I do know her well enough to know what she will do.

The Bible tells us that God knows our hearts. He knows what we will do. So he knew that, inspite of all his teaching, that his disciples were still going to desert him when he was arrested, and that Peter would deny him. That does not mean he forced Peter or the others to do it, nor did he approve of their actions. Nor does it excuse their actions. He only knew them well enough to know what they would do.

Knowing what someone will do and making them do it are two very different things.

God has never used sin at any time to advance his plans or accomplish his will. But he often finds ways, after a sin is committed, to redeem the situation through it. God is in the redemption business.

What about the issue of homosexuality? The Bible has a very simple answer to that. Paul wrote about it in the 6th chapter of his first letter to the Corinthians Christians.

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

Note once again that God is in the redemption business, even with homosexuals.

God created all persons and to each He gave freewill. Those who choose not to obey His rules, or believe that Christ is His only Son and that only through Him can one be saved have made their choice to reject God and His free gift of salvation. Original sin, Adam and Eve made the choice to eat of the forbidden fruit and brought sin into the world. As descendents of the original humans we come into this world with the burden of original sin and must therefore seek salvation (repentence of sin, belief in Christ bring about the restoration of fellowship and love of God) Because of our human nature and the ability to make choices we will sin. We also have the choice to confess those sins and be forgiven. We will never be sinless only God is perfect so we do our best to obey His commandments and live as Jesus taught us to by loving and helping others.

Study something besides the Christian Bible. There are hundreds of religions/denominations.They all claim to be right. Study them and make up your mind. It's a life long pursuit. Talk to a Unitarian Universalist, or New thought practitioner. They will give you the most open minded opinions. They have little dogma or doctrine,or ritual,and will giver you straight answers, and allow you to find your own path,even if it's different from theirs.

You can simplify your life a lot. Accept the fact that there is no god, no devil, no heaven and no hell.

Why are you concerned about sinning? Don't you think you are a good person? Why are you worried about going to hell? Who put this fanciful notion in your head?

You don't have to believe in god to lead a good, moral, honest, respectable and respectful life. If you lead this type of life, you will enjoy living and you won't be having nightmares about going to hell.

First of all you need to disassociate God from the biblical bigot. The buy-bull is only man made asinine dogma intended to use guilt and fear as a means of controlling the sheeple who cannot think for themselves.

Sin, hell, and satan are man made words, not God made. God is not a murderer and a bigot.

I am agnostic/deist. I believe in a Creator. God created our souls and He offers encouragement but not interference.

You will always sin. That is the human condition. The trick is to learn from your mistakes. The greatest commandment given to us by God is to love God, and each other. If you do this, you won't go far wrong.

When you sin you repent that keeps you clean. Here is what the Lord told the LDS

D&C 93:1 Verily, thus saith the Lord: It shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am;

Then, in final preparation for Church membership, and as evidence of our willingness to take upon us the name of Christ and of our determination to keep his commandments, we were baptized by immersion for the remission of sin. As Jesus came forth from the tomb with a glorified body, having left all corruptibleness in the grave, so we through baptism should have buried in the watery grave the corruption of our sins, and come forth to walk in newness of life, never again to return to worldly lusts. [Rom. 6:3-6.] Thus prepared we were confirmed members of the Church and given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Through these principles and ordinances we were cleansed and purified. Having thus washed our garments in the blood of Christ, we entered through the straight gate and stood redeemed on the narrow way which leads to life eternal. It should have then been, and it should now be, the controlling desire of every Church member, and it is the desire of every member who is on the way to eternal life always to retain this redeemed status.
