Both. Pedigree is crap, plus it got recalled. Food with no corn, wheat,or soy is fine.
Canned food doesn't clean teeth but nor does dry food. Throw that myth in the garbage. Thats like saying eating pretzels will clean your teeth.

first off pedigree dog food is crapt !! don't give your pup that food . you want to get him on like wellness puppy food a food that is much more nutriously better for your gowing pup. stick with dry the wet food has no nutional vaue in it. the dry dog food has alot more nutrional vaue. the wet food will really mess up your pups teeth over time and deveople really bad tarter. the dry is less likey to give your pups teeth over times less problems. you can find this wellness puppy food at petco or go to google and type in wellness dog food.

try canidae dry all stages dog food.your pup will be much healthier then using pedigree.pedigree is a low quality dog food has a lot of bad stuff in it.canidae has no by products or fillers in it.i had switched my dog from pedigree to canidae healed skin condition, more energetic and less poop....and has a very shiny coat.will never change again.

Dry food is generally better. An advantage to canned food is that it's full of water... so it promotes good hydration.
I think a combination diet of canned and wet.. like you are doing is perfectly fine. I'd continue feeding both.

all my life i've given my dog nothing but dry food and it's been perfectly fine and less of a pain in the neck. i say dry all the way, if you have trouble weening (sp?) him off of the wet food, mix half a can with some dry food and gradually lessen the wet til you're only giving him dry. make sense? lol

Pedigree is not a very good quality food, wet or dry. BUT dry is always better than wet.
Check this site for a better quality kibble (or to read a review on yours).

Dry food is important for dogs with teeth. Hairless dogs need canned at times. Cats need wet food, yet dogs generally don't. I'd worry if there was salmonella in it or something anyway!!!

Toy Poodle- definitely dry food. Poodles, Yorkies, Pom's...all notorious for having bad teeth.
If you go with canned, be sure to provide chew toys to help prevent tartar, and be sure to schedule regular teeth cleanings at your vet.

Ok for any toy dog what your doing is pretty good. Just make sure you go easy on the wet food. you could try mixing it with the dry food.

dry food because if you get him used to can food you are gonna have a hard time getting to feed him dry food when hes older
