Why don't people on Yahoo just go to the doctor?

Yes I agree. I try and not answer those questions but cannot resist the easy 2 points!

YA members can give very informative.and intelligent responses. Some can relate to their problems and give an account of their own experience. This in itself is more valuable than plain textbook knowledge alone. The doctors are notorious for this as well as expensive. Granted that some topics are repetitious, and silly- the majority who post their questions here are teenagers who are afraid to tell their own parents. And it's altruistic to lend a hand.

The acquistion of new knowledge is both ways... the questioner and the responder.

HELLO? America is in a national health crisis. No one has insurance to be going to the doctor. Plus why go to the doctor for somethign relatively simple that one could get an answer for on here? It like you ask the question to reassure yourself that its worth the trip to the doctor anyway (even in you have health insurance)

I am assuming they hope to get a home remedy or simple solution before shelling out big bucks to a doc, but the i am pregnant ones are annoying to no end, 10 bucks for a test get over it

I agree with you.. it is a joke..and they they wonder why they get some silly answer.

Keep in the mind the age of many of the askers. Many of them are not adults.

some of them maybe just afraid to go to the doctor.

but i know there are some of professional medical thingy here who can give their answer

Because people don't want to go to the doctor and pay thousands of dollars for something that can be solved at home with a simple remedy.

Think about it.. everything is expensive now-a-days, they're just trying to save money most likely.

Maybe they are poor and are hoping for a simple solution.

i think myself they are attention seekers and maybe being on here asking makes them feel that little bit loved...that someone cares about there medicinal problems.

i have seen a lot of cringe worthy questions on here that make me feel sick at times.....
