Whats wrong with my left arm?

on wednesday i fell off my skateboard and my left arm got really swollen, bruised on the top, tender to the touch and somewhat warm, and yesterday i went to the hospital to get an xray, and they said its not broken and its just sprained. and about 2 hours later my arm hurt soooo much that i was crying, and my mom said my fingers were cold. and today my arm felt like it was getting hot and its purple, greenish yellow color. what should i do?? i also broke my left arm in may if that helps you answer this question. also aren't the doctors supposed to put a splint on it if your arm is sprained?? my friend got a splint when she sprained her arm.

Thanx

The tissue swelling may be cutting off the circulation in your arm, causing your muscles to cramp from insufficient oxygen. In the short-term, take a couple of ibuprofen and ice the swelling. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug that should help reduce the swollen tissue and get the blood circulating again, and the ice should help bring the swelling down faster. Then, I would get a second opinion to rule out anything more serious (bone chips, blood clots, etc).

As far as splinting goes, they may or may not splint a sprained arm, it really depends on the severity of the sprain. If you want a splint, you can pick them up at drugstores.

i'm guessing you're a righty. its prevalent, besides the undeniable fact that this is for the reason which you frequently use your right arm extra advantageous than your left arm. so this is much less stressful on your right arm and harder on your left arm.

Sounds like some vascular problems and you need a second opinion now!
