What do you think about having a ex porn star working in your school district?

In Vineland, NJ..the Vineland Public Schools, hired a ex porn star as a lunch room aide part time. Her web site and another links are still on the Internet for the public to access..even some without a password. The school district stands by their decision to keep her. Parents are outraged that they did not know about this at the beginning of the school year. This has made national news. What are your thoughts and opinions on this? Would you be comfortable have an ex porn star around your children? Should her web site/links be removed from the Internet?

Update:

for the record, all of her porn sites are still very much active and you can access them, it appears she is doing porn..a disgrace to the school district that hired her. They should have done a better background check on her before they hired her.

My children are very young and so have no idea what sex is or if the person that is next to them was a porn actress. And even if they were older, I don't think it would have any impact on them whatsoever. Most kids don't know what porn is, and if they are looking at it they are not being supervised properly.

She's only a lunch room aide. How is she going to subvert/corrupt/affect kids in a negative way because of what she used to do for a living?

I would have a problem with a convicted pedophile as a lunch room aide, but a sex film actor is a legal job and according to the law, she has done nothing wrong. Kids never need to know about it ( I realize in reality rumours will start to circulate but that's just life).

There is no law preventing sex workers form having children of their own, so obviously they are not a threat to children.

I do not want my children to be exposed to pornography. Not at all, even for a second. I have huge problems with children viewing pornography. But this woman is a just a person with a past, and probably does not walk around naked on the job.

If shes a GREAT Porn Star, whats she doing in a lunch room.. Can she have an extra job, and work for the school system? Does she carry a disease that can pass on to the kids?

Only thing I would be worried about is disease in the food..

Is she appropriately dressed at school while working?

Does she moan, groan, and pole dance during lunch?

If not then leave the woman alone and let her make a living. Ex is the key here -- ex porn star. If the UNDERAGE kids at the school are acessing porn sites on the web to see their lunch lady then I would say there is something wrong with the PARENTS not the woman who is just trying to make ends meet.

Because she is an ex porn star, this is something that should be held against her? I'll guarantee that most of the parents have done worse than her.

I live 20 miles outside of Vineland and the same thing happened in our schools. A teacher who sold adult videos of herself online was allowed to keep her job while the maleteacher who exposed her videos was fired.

Sure she should keep her job.

Why would she take a job as an aide?

Does she have a child in the district?

Her personal business is her own. If she hasn't committed a crime, she is just as entitled to work as any other person qualified to serve lunch and do dishes.

We don't have to like it, she is entitled to her rights as well.

The 1960s saw the demise of anti-porn laws. The chickens are home.

    EX... is the operative adjective.

If we held the past against everybody, Obama would never have been elected.

I'm sure there are things in your past, I know there are things in my past that I would not like brought out in the open.

The outraged parents are probably perfect though and have never made mistakes.

    Free advertising?

I bet she's raking in the cash.

With as much porn as there is out there, I doubt there's not atleast one person we've all met that's been in some porn.

Its called freedom. Has she done anything illegal? Then by all means maybe the new job is a move in the right direction for her. Or maybe the Superintendent likes having her around.

I'm so happy I'm not an American... you are one repressed, stuck-up nation of busy-bodies.

The only question should be: can she perform the job she was hired to do ? What lies in her past, or even her present is none of your business.

I mean, serioulsy, what are you afraid she's going to do ?
