Who else would lose their sense of humor too?

I am a Canadian and live in a small rural community, I am pretty lucky because I only get the once a month visit from the J W's. Perfectly nice people, have no intention of letting them in. I have spent a few minutes with them - but I also make it clear I am not interested.

If it is the same people I assume that they forgot about me and give them the benefit of the doubt. I say, no thanks and close the door.

You have a full blown invasion - Maybe just revamp those signs like the others have advised - and tell them that trespassers will be charged. Good luck - how awful!

I do. Unfortunately many do not. #3 came early certainly doesn't. She said quite a few nasty things about us last night. Judging by the 14 violations and 62 hate mails I recieved i would say most people don't have a sense of humor. Too bad that won't make stop trying to give them a laugh.

I don't know why people of different religions would knock on your door when you have posted signs that you do not want to be bothered. I find that a mystery.

Maybe you should ask them instead of listening to them for 10 minutes or slamming the door in their faces. Aren't you curious as to why they would they disregard your wishes when you have signs posted that you do not want to be bothered with?

I am not, but my mother was a JW and she said if any signs were posted in front of a persons house saying "no solicitations" when they went out in service they would go pass the house.

Here's what you do. Get a sign that says "No evangelism or solicitations. violators will be prosecuted" and have a camera next to your door. Next time they knock on your door, open up, take the picture, and say that the next time you are calling a lawyer.

The answering the door naked totally works. I swear it was an accident, though.

You have every right to your beliefs. I am a believer in god who i belive created the world. Three of my friends are Wiccan my gf is a Satanists and my whole family is a beacon of different religions. I was brought up to accept that my views may be different to others but they are just that My views i have no right to implore them on to those you don't want to hear. Those who try are invading personal privacy and i believe such a thing is frowned upon not only on earth but in the place beypond this world. God gave us the right of free will to choose what we want therefore i believe you had the right to shut the door on them especially if u had signs posted. Take it from a believer i give you permission

my dear never NEVER lose your sense of humour (after all it does seem to be the one thing that separates us from being animals, don't think so? when was the last time your cat told a knock knock joke?) if they don't wanna go away on their own inspire them, start answering the door naked (that's a good one) if they ask if you've found jesus hand 'im a shovel and tell them to start in that little dark corner of your yard, hey as i see it if they're gonna be bugging you on your turf you might as well make it something they'll remember and make you smile at the same time

You have posted signs asking not to be bothered by busy bodies. You have no obligation to be nice to them when they choose to ignore the signs. They have no right to free speech at your door on your property.

Next time answer the door with the phone in your hand and call the police to report trespassers.

My guess is they see your signs and take it as a challenge.

My born again sister regularly makes it her mission to try to convince Muslims and Atheists how wrong they are.

Take the signs down and when they show up tell them "sorry not interested" and close the door in their face. If they knock again call the police and have them arrested for trespassing.

I can understand your frustration. I wonder if they don't see your signs.

I see you are a Wiccan Witch. I am a Christian. As a Christian, I believe that God can lead people via the Holy Spirit. I am thinking that in some way these believers have been led to speak to you. They must somehow know the religion you are practicing and want to make sure that you are exposed to the God in whom they believe is the only true God.

Unfortunately, the approach they are using is mostly turning you off. I don't think they are insane, however. I truly believe that they are not coming out of disrespect, but rather love. (as odd as that may sound.)

I am a Christian and I agree with you. We shouldn't impose ourselves and chase down people in their homes to evangelize. First of all, it's not gonna save anyone, it's just gonna tee people off. Secondly, it's like getting calls from telemarketers. I get really ripped when they call me at home and invade my privacy trying to sell me something so they can make money off of me.
