It's really an incredible feeling Liz! Like something you've never felt before...

I was in a bad relationship for 18 years (Dating 4, married 14...) and finally realizing I had to get on with my life, I left.

4 1/2 years after I left, I met "the one". He's truly my soul mate, my best friend and the one I wished I had been with all along. He knew it too...we got engaged after dating for only 2 1/2 Months and married just shy of being together for 6 months. We're coming up on our 3 year anniversary on February 4th : )

As far as I'm concerned that's the only person you 'should' marry!

If you aren't friends then what keeps you together when things go wrong or the initial 'honeymoon' period is over?

I think friendship in marriage is what leads to long and happy relationships and true love. It's wonderful knowing that whatever happens there is always someone to support and understand you. Someone who knows and accepts the 'real' you, warts and all.

It's more than wonderful and more than I had ever dreamed of....

    I'm 55

    Hubby is age 56

We dated almost 9 years before marrying

We've been married 32 years now

We have 3 wonderful adult kids, 29, 26, 25..two married, one engaged!

It's everything! Would I do this all over again.....You Bet!

Marriage is a little like "waves".....a bit testy at times, but if you just hang in for the ride....it's amazing what you find out that you have in time.

    :oD

It is like nothing you have ever experienced in your life.

He will be your best friend in the world...your true soul mate.

I met my husband on May 15th, and we were married on July 1st, yes only 6 wks, had we known each other..I brother in law was his commanding officer in the Air Force, hubby kept wanting to meet me, my brother in law told him, you won't get next to her unless your love dogs and horses....so hubby ask me out, then took me to dog shows, horse shows.....

He did all he could to make me love him, after 4 wks he ask me to marry him, I told him marry you, marry you, I don't like your looks much less marry you....he just hung his head....then the following week we went to another horse show, we were sitting there and he pulled out this box, I opened it, a note, please open next box, I opened it, and it said..I really love you, will you be my wife for the rest of our lives, I turned and opened the last box, there was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen in my life, I started crying and said yes, we were married 5 days later......

My parents were against it, but knew I was head strong and would not let up...so they said yes...I was 18, a freshman in college, did not go back to college till 2 yrs later.......then got my degree in Psychology..

We had our only son at the age of 24,,,,,

We have been married now for 39 yrs, July 1st of this year.

It has been the most wonderful life I could have ever imagined,,and it only gets better each and every day....

They say the heart goes fonder with time, this is true...he is my rock, my best friend, my soul mate, we were meant for each other...

P.S. He had never ridden a horse till he met me...and it took some time to get him to ride....

Legit""its the most wonderful feeling in the world...and would not trade a single second of any of our marriage.
