Hi, We've got a barn kitty with a bit of Maine coon in him. Enough to make him really huge and he's got that nice thick soft coat and ruff on his shoulders so I'll give you some answers. I hope they help at least a bit.
1. Your cat requests your presence when she eats
Not often. We don't leave food out for him. He will always be right on time to get us to feed him if we're off on the time.
2. Gender (I meant the cat)
Male, fixed
3. Age (the cat)
4+
4. Opens doors by turning the handle or knob
He doesn't bother with handles. He does stretch up to reach toward them to push a door that is ajar open so he can get in though.
5. You have deciphered the trill and murmuring language of your cat
Not entirely. Most of the time we can figure out what he's saying and when we don't know what he's talking about we'll ask him what he wants and he knows that we'll follow him to figure it out.
6. Your cat would give that rare high pitch meow
I've never heard him say anything terribly high pitched. Though he is very talkative and will give us long drawn out meows or short clipped ones(When he's mad at us)
7. What do you do with the cat down shed
We throw it away. We taught him early that combing is fun so we've got a good handle on his shedding
8. Even though bigger than other cats, my cat
Will act big and tough till he actually has to do something. If he encounters a strange animal he'll growl and hiss at them and puff up more but he goes running when they start to do it back. With our younger cat he won't do more than warn her when she's getting on his nerves and he'll slap her to scare her off when she does.
9. My cat
C. Runs away from extreme loud noise. And hides under the bed.
10. My cat
D. pays no attention and continues its lazing. He might run and hide if they want to touch him or if he didn't see them come in.
11. My cat
B. can tolerate a little mess
I will say that our kitty sure is a needy guy. He loves to be held. The first thing we figured out he was saying to us was "Pick me up."
