Using wooden utensils for cooking? How do you maintain them?
I love using wooden utensils when I cook. They don't get hot like metal and don't melt like plastic. But when I wash them I worry about them drying out too much and leaving splinters in my food. I've been told that rubbing some mineral oil into them once a month helps, but is there anything else I can do?

Not much else you can do. You can also rub with veg or canola oil. If badly soiled rub with salt to get clean.
