Graphic Design at Uni?
i wasn't planning on going to uni until next year once i'd got my hnc in graphic design. But i found out that the entry requirements are 200 ucas points. Which if i pass my course this year il get 240.
Is it worth my while applying?
It might be good to mention that my fifth and six year exam results wern't too great, hence why i went to college to do an nc.
Are they less likely to consider me since it took me a longer amount of time to get my ucas points?
Any help would be really great.
Thanks xxx
Yeah I've been working on my portfolio through my last year at college.

Don't you need to also present a portfolio of your work which is marked too?
My son is a graphic designer.Has an Honours degree in design and visual communication and a Masters in Digital Media.
If you have a particularly strong portfolio it can work wonders. How long it took you to get to this point shouldn't influence them and the fact you have persevered shows strong commitment.
My son was a high achiever so presented with very high marks and a strong portfolio so there's no point me pretending it wont be tough.Just make sure than portfolio knocks them out.
You really will have to be committed as graphic design jobs are hard to get. Most are acquired through knowing others in the profession so keep in with the arty crowd.
Good luck.
