I need help in figuring out a major.?

You should be a journalist / photographer for National Geographic.

I think English and writing are about the same, so take that with photography and archeology as electives or minors. If you take them early enough you can decide what you like best and change accordingly.

well the only problem is that photography is usually in an art school, whereas history is in the traditional 4 year colleges and universities.

i would talk to your HS counselor, or you can talk to someone at the college you might want to go to.

ps. i wouldn't do history unless you want to go into teaching, or are planning on going to graduate school after you finish college...

thing is you don't make that much money.

could go for it and try to be a college prof in history/archeology. but be ready to do great from day one.

Be undecided first, and go take those classes in college. Take advanced classes after. I'm sure you'll figure out what you don't want to be or do after 2 or 3 advanced classes...

it's best to focus on a field that requires specialized skills like business, science, law, or medicine. these jobs will always be in demand now and in the future. don't be a liberal arts major if earning potential and financial security are important to you.

Also consider that you can just pick something to start and find your way as you go. These things can be changed...just don't wait too long.

you can major in on thing you like the most and minor in the others I am sure you know that but if you end up liking one better then the other just switch you major to the one you like the most.

If you are going to be a freshman just put psychology you will figure it out later. You are going to have to take all the basic classes the first year anyway.
