Anyone else tired of Dems & Reps bashing one another on YA?
If these people are really legal voters, I wonder the mentallity of these two parties voting for our leaders. Other countries witnessing this must think the U.S. has the mentallity of a 5 year old. Am I the only one that thinks they should grow up?
Evidently I've hurt some name basher's feelings on here. Otherwise, why be so defensive? Those rude remarks just made my point. LOL

Yes, I'm very tired of it. Debate is one thing, and name-calling contests are another.
If you can't say what you have to say in a civil manner, maybe there's a weakness in your argument.
I think that there should be a zero-tolerance policy for blatant name-calling ("you're an idiot", "you're stupid"), and the like.
Name-calling doesn't persuade people to see your point of view. Its only function is to vent anger. We as a species need to rise above anger if we want to have peace on this planet.

I was just thinking the same thing about other countries believing Americans are stupid. But I was thinking how they must react when they see people like Barney Frank, Blago, and Nancy Pelosi as representating the people. Go on and add Bush, Larry Craig, and whatever other Republicans you want to throw in there too.
For some reason, the voters consistently elect sorry excuses for human beings with the collective mentality of a 5-year old. There are very few in leadership that are truly intelligent, patriotic people. I wrote in Ron Paul for President.

After what was just elected? I would agree.

It's refreshing to see someone such as yourself that is "above" insulting other political groups.
You are perfect!!! How can I be more like you? <sarcasm>

You misspelled MENTALITY twice

I am a former full-conservative, now moderate because of what you are talking about. The left is full of Bush-bashers and the right is a country-club for the rich and know-nots.
But I have to say that the right is far more diversive. I have spent a lot of time in GOP ranks if anyone thinks this is not a frat for people that hate blacks, jews, gays, liberals and everyone and anyone who doesn't walk lock step with "conservative christian" values they you do not know who these people are.
And the Dems--the weak sister of American politics---the catch basket of bad politics.
And by the way, the political systems in other countries like England, France and Italy are for more contentious.

So feel it's ok for YOU to be "bashing" them. You are a prime example that "bashing" is not limited to Dems and Reps.
What makes YOU so special?

"Evidently" you believe that insulting other peoples' mentality isn't considered bashing.
Let me be another one to inform you that IT IS bashing.
You are an example of the pot calling the kettle black, REGARDLESS of your political affiliation.

Since you're "above it all", I guess you could go check out some other blog?
Other countries are envious, because they can't say what we can here in the Greatest country in the world!!

Yes, you should grow up. And by you, I mean the collective group of people you refer to in your question. Most of the times I don't even understand what the issues are. I answered a question about a guy that thought it was wrong Obama flying in a plane that had a presidential seal on it. So WHAT?!!! Who cares? It's like children picking because of a stupid toy...
Source(s): Master Obi con, in our country we can whatever we like, even bad language on National television, and we don't ban books from our schools, nor anywhere else for that matter. Here freedom of speech is actually freedom of speech. I guess you never left the USA huh? - Anonymous1 decade ago
I agree to a certain extent
But this is the politics section
And it's not just here.
Remember the Congress voted to change what they called "french fries" to "freedom fries"
That's the Congress. Our countries finest, elected by our own votes.
What level of mentality is that?
