its only been a week so give it sometime. you might be gaining muscle but i doubt that in a week . the best suggestion i have is to watch what u are eating, its all about what u eat although exercise does help. I am a girl and am 5'4 and i recently lost 30 pounds. I was trying to lose weight for about a year , doing a lot of exercise and eating less , but it wasnt until i started counting my cals that i really started losing a lot of weight. sometimes i go weeks without exercise and i can still lose weight. I dont know if u are a girl or a boy but if u are a girl you might be eating too much , I dont know about that pasta salad or salad even if u are adding dressing to it. research reasearch research make sure you know how many cals u are putting into ur body before u eat it ( look online if you are not sure). I lost weight when i started eating about 1400 cals a day, this might not sound like much but if u find the right foods u will never get hungry. I was a swimmer for 16 yrs and i swam 4 hours a day mond-sat and i still gained weight if i ate wrong. 6 meals a day is good tho keep it up just make sure u are not guessing how much u are eating and make sure that u know how much u are eating. you can look online to see what a person like u should be taking in for cals a day to lose weight and go from there.

Hmm, well, the cereal you eat may contain a lot of sugar. Same with the yogurt. But it's also not only WHAT you eat, but HOW MUCH you eat. If you're eating 6 meals a day, you need to eat less during each meal. Also, don't eat anything past 7-8 PM.

Most importantly, watch what you drink. A lot of supposedly healthy drinks contain a lot of sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Vitamin water, Snapple, Brisk, Arizona Teas....all those are marketed to be healthier alternatives to Sodas....but they are JUST AS BAD! Drink juice, water, and unsweetened tea.

Edit: Muscle DOES NOT weigh more than fat. It's more dense, but a pound of muscle is the same as a pound of fat. That said, looking at your exercises, I don't think you've put on that much more mucsle in one week. If you gained 4 pounds total, you'd have to gain enough muscle to offset the fat you lost and also increase your weight by 4 pounds. Let's say you lost 3 pounds of fat. That means you would have had to gain 7 pounds of muscle...in one week! That is not possible with your diet. You're not eating enough protein to do that. You have to adjust your diet and cut out the foods I mentioned above.

Do you change up your weight training? If not, you'll have "muscle memory" and your work out will not be efficient.

It is true that you could be gaining muscle weight. You'll know if you're losing inches but gaining pounds. That's a good thing.

Also, you may be taking in too much sodium and retaining water, or you're not drinking enough water. Is your urine clear or very yellow?

8 cups of water a day AT LEAST. 16 do really flush the toxins out.

You are more than likely gaining muscle. Have someone check your bodyfat percentage. And see if it's going down. Your weight can also fluctuate a lot depending on your body type. Also, make sure you intake enough water throughout the day as you could have some extra water weight hanging around.

Weight training every day will increase your weight because muscle weighs almost 3 times more than fat. You need to include some sprints and hill climbs and stretches also weights every day is stupid because you need a day for the muscle fibres to break down and rebuild again. 4 sessions a week is plenty.

although you are eating healthier, are you eating more? whenever i work out i tend to eat more bc my body needs it from extra exercise. plus, it's normal to gain a couple pounds when you start working out. give it a couple weeks and you should plateau.
